Job Description

What You’ll Do
  • Be the Expert – Become the go-to authority on new Guidewire capabilities, ensuring they are adoption-ready through hands-on prototyping and configuration, with a special focus on leveraging Gen AI and the latest AI tools.

  • Shape the Product – Collaborate with engineering, product, and implementation teams, providing clear, concise, and empathetic communication regarding adoption impacts and GA readiness.

  • Lead Early Access Projects – Provide expert guidance to early adopters, acting as a trusted advisor and facilitating a smooth transition to GA, demonstrating self-sufficiency and independence.

  • Create Scalable Knowledge – Use AI tools to develop product adoption collateral and other documentation to serve as input for downstream enablement teams.

  • Solve Complex Challenges – Address adoption barriers, define implementation strategies, and build innovative prototypes using the latest Guidewire App Platform capabilities, applying strategic thinking and customer focus.

  • Inform Product Direction through Customer Engagement – Contribute hands-on to periodic Field Engineering customer engagements to gain insights, iterate on new products, and deliver feedback to product teams.

  • Stay Ahead of the Curve – Explore emerging technologies, including AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), to influence Guidewire’s product evolution. At Guidewire, we foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and responsible use of AI.

  • Build Relationships - Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and ensuring the success of EAA initiatives.

  • Deep Industry Expertise – Experience in P&C insurance, claims, policy, and/or underwriting is required.

  • Technical & Analytical Thinker – You can break down complex problems, design solutions, and do hands-on configuration or development work on the Guidewire Platform. You know how to use AI effectively to accomplish technical tasks.

  • Exceptional Communicator – Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at explaining complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Strong active listening skills. Honest and respectful communication is essential.

  • Self-Sufficient and Collaborative – A proactive individual who can take initiative and work with minimal supervision, identifying solutions and driving tasks forward independently. Ability to collaborate effectively with EAA teammates. 

  • Willing to Travel – Willing to travel for team meetings and limited customer engagements.

  • Guidewire Certified – Prior certifications in Guidewire products are required for this role. ACE certification in ClaimCenter and/or PolicyCenter preferred.

  • Technical experience
    • 7+ years of relevant experience in configuring Guidewire enterprise software solutions for one or more insurance carriers.

    • Strong object-oriented design, development, and test skills.

    • Proficiency in one or more of the following: Gosu, Java, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript.

    • Hands-on scripting, programming, and advanced Guidewire Platform configuration skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role. Experience in prompt engineering and AI evals is a plus.

    • Experience in agile methodologies.

    • Proven track record of leading inception or discovery workshops and helping Guidewire customers gain optimal business value during implementation projects.

    • Ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and technologies even when formal training is not available yet.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $124,000 - $186,000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan. In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.
