Seeking two collaborative Product Owners to champion customer needs, one for our Auto lines and one for our Specialty lines businesses (Renters & Landlord). In these roles you will partner closely with business and technology stakeholders - including line-of-business leadership, architects, and cross-portfolio teams - to define and prioritize work that delivers measurable business value. You will translate customer problems into clear, prioritized user stories, own the product backlog, help set product KPIs, and drive the squad toward outcomes that support both short‑term delivery and long‑term product viability. These roles offer the opportunity to shape product strategy, work across portfolios, and influence solutions for policy systems on our mainframe platform.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to shape product vision and ensure alignment with portfolio and strategic priorities; communicate that vision to your squad and related teams.
- Own and maintain the product backlog: write and refine clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria and ensure priorities reflect customer value and organizational goals.
- Lead iteration and quarterly planning with the squad; set expectations with stakeholders for delivery timelines and scope.
- Co-accountable with the squad for developing and tracking product-level KPIs and for meeting product objectives within a moderate-to-complex scope.
- Work daily with the agile team to clarify requirements, remove impediments, and maintain continuous alignment on product strategy and delivery.
- Participate in demos, retrospectives, refinement, and other Agile ceremonies to ensure readiness and foster continuous improvement.
- Coordinate across IT, architecture, and business leadership to align development efforts, resolve issues quickly, and negotiate priorities with teams inside and outside the portfolio.
- Monitor product health and long‑term viability, balancing technical cost, business value, and regulatory/compliance constraints.
- Analyze feasibility and trade-offs including cost of delay, effort estimates, and economic impact of changes.
- Work collaboratively with team members to design and implement effective test strategies
- Support a cross-functional team responsible for design, development, support, and enhancement of policy systems on our mainframe platform.
Ideal candidate will have
- Experience in Auto and/or homeowners/renters' insurance is required.
- Strong backlog management and user-story writing skills; comfortable prioritizing and making trade-offs based on value and risk.
- Demonstrated ability to define and measure product KPIs and to communicate value delivered per iteration.
- Experience working with cross-functional delivery teams (developers, QA, UX, architects) and with stakeholder groups across business and IT.
- Familiarity with customer-driven design (CDD) and usability testing practices.
- Experience with regulatory/compliance considerations and applying them to product prioritization.
- Experience or familiarity with insurance policy systems and/or mainframe platforms is a plus.
- Proficiency with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence or similar) and basic analytics to support decision-making.
- Strong communicator, collaborator, and negotiator with a bias for action and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; CSPO/PSPO or other Agile certifications are a plus.

- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and IT project management as typically acquired through a Bachelors` degree in relevant field (business, computer science, humanities etc.) and a minimum of 3 to 5 years direct experience with agile teams as well as 7 years in business, technology, or consulting.
- Able to depict and explain the importance of complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences; educate SBU/department(s) on business vision and plan and the impact of change.

- Strong problem solver with demonstrated ability to lead a team to push the solutions and progress.
- Experience in the insurance industry preferred.
