The Product Owner will develop and execute the vision and roadmap for pricing-related investments, drive innovation, track KPIs, and ensure compliance, collaborating with engineering and business stakeholders.
A Little More About the Role:
We’re looking for a Product Owner, UnderwritingTools to execute on product initiatives that drive operational and financial efficiency. You will define roadmaps, lead prioritization and and work closely with business stakeholders to deliver innovative, scalable solutions that support Gravie’s pricing and underwriting capabilities.
You will:
● Develop and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for pricing-related product investments used in Gravie’s underwriting processes
● Bring technical expertise to the team, driving innovation in delivery of critical pricing changes
● Establish and track OKRs and KPIs to measure business impact and continuously drive improvement
● Partner closely with engineering, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand user needs and deliver functionality that enhances both financial performance and operational workflows
● Define detailed product requirements and clearly communicate across stakeholders, informed by data and user research
● Apply Agile methodologies and leverage tools like Jira to prioritize work, build backlogs, and support product execution
● Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
● Perform other duties as assigned
You bring:
● 4+ years of experience collaborating across functions—including engineering, design, and insurance subject matter experts—in a Product Owner or adjacent role
● 2+ years of experience managing structured prioritization processes
● Working knowledge of tech systems and infrastructure with at least 2 years of experience interacting with technology teams
● Bachelors degree
Extra credit:
● 1+ years of experience with underwriting technology or Insurtech; familiarity with underwriting, actuarial, and pricing for health insurance
● Proficiency with tools such as Jira and other backlog or project tracking platforms
● Experience managing third-party vendor relationships
● Comfort working with both highly technical users (e.g., engineers) and non-technical stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Operations)
● Strong project management skills including timeline management and prioritization using Agile methodologies
● Understanding of the complete Software Development Process, especially in ambiguous or shifting problem spaces
● Self-starter mindset with the ability to independently achieve defined goals
● Proven ability to motivate and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 annually. Numerous factors including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. will be considered when determining compensation.
