As a Product Owner III, you will be the strategic leader behind a suite of capabilities and applications that support ALSAC fundraisers. You’ll collaborate with senior leadership, stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to define and deliver product experiences that exceed expectations and inspire customer advocacy.
This role demands a strong blend of business acumen, technical expertise, and leadership. You’ll be responsible for shaping the product roadmap, managing the backlog, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals, data integrity, and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and communicate a compelling product vision and 3-year roadmap aligned with ALSAC’s strategic objectives.
- Lead product planning, software release coordination, and backlog management.
- Translate business needs and customer insights into clear, actionable user stories and product features.
- Ensure product quality, data integrity, and compliance with information security standards.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Infosec, and platform leadership to align product strategy with enterprise technology goals.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with UX designers, developers, analysts, and testers to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Build trust and alignment across stakeholders through transparent communication, prioritization, and expectation management.
- Leverage market intelligence, analytics, donor research, and stakeholder feedback to inform product decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Product Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, software development, or a related discipline.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and communicate complex concepts.
- Experience with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Jira).
- Skilled in defining user stories, building journey maps and wireframes, and conducting usability testing.
- Demonstrated success in translating customer needs into product specifications.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities with a focus on balancing priorities and trade-offs.
- Experience in data quality and/or data science is required.
- Familiarity with software delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), process engineering, and change management.
