This Product Operations Manager role plays a critical role in ensuring successful product delivery and launch readiness specifically for our contractor users and market. This role focuses on preparing internal teams and contractor-facing departments for product releases by coordinating across Product, Engineering, and business stakeholder groups to ensure timely communication, readiness, and adoption.
 
As a key liaison between the product development lifecycle and customer-facing functions, the Product Operations Manager supports operational readiness, distributes product release communications, and provides insights to inform adoption strategies and reduce friction. This role is less focused on lifecycle participation and more centered on release execution and user enablement.

Key ResponsibilitiesRelease Readiness & Communication
  • Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Engineering to understand upcoming releases and their operational impacts
  • Coordinate and communicate release timelines, key changes, and downstream effects to affected departments (e.g., Customer Success, Support, Product Marketing, Training)
  • Prepare and distribute comprehensive Product Release Notes and related documentation
Adoption Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze product analytics (i.e. Pendo) to track adoption and identify friction points
  • Collaborate with Product and Customer Success to drive user adoption campaigns or improvements based on usage data
  • Recommend improvements to release readiness or delivery processes to enhance customer impact and internal efficiency
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the internal point of contact for questions related to contractor-facing product releases
  • Provide briefings as needed to frontline teams who support or train contractor users
  • Coordinate with Product Marketing to align on external messaging and education materials
Process Documentation & Feedback Loops
  • Maintain a central repository of release documentation, timelines, and impact summaries
  • Facilitate feedback collection from internal teams on release success and areas for improvement
  • Contribute to the development of a standardized product delivery playbook for the contractor segment
Key Outcomes (First 12–18 Months)
  • Establish a consistent and repeatable contractor product release communication process
  • Identify and address top friction points in contractor adoption through data-informed strategies
  • Create and maintain a feedback loop to continuously enhance release delivery and stakeholder satisfaction
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in product delivery, product operations, or similar in a SaaS B2B environment
  • Strong understanding of go-to-market readiness, internal communications, and cross-functional alignment
  • Experience using analytics tools (e.g., Pendo) to inform decision-making and drive adoption
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Familiarity with the contractor management or compliance industry is a plus
