The goal for the product ops contractor is to help the core product ops team deliver on SLAs for the Assisted API products. While not client-facing, this role directly impacts the end user and developer experience using Finch. 

Competencies

  • Proven experience handling structured data (Excel, CSV, JSON, etc.).
  • Familiarity with data formatting and transformation tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python scripts, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow repeatable processes with consistency.
  • Ability to stay organized and triage multiple priorities and maintain focus on tasks from start to finish.
  • Skilled at working backward efficiently from key timelines since most processes have an SLA of 24 hours.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous situations to resolve complex problems.
  • Prior experience with scripting or automation tools is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data formatting and transformation — Review and format large volumes of data. Format data precisely according to established specifications or templates.
  • Execute automated scripts and tools used in the data processing pipeline.
  • Conduct thorough QA of outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
  • Knowledge of HR and payroll concepts is a plus
