Our Product Operations team is looking for a Product Operations Analyst Intern who is excited about the intersection of product, data, communication, and AI. In this role, you’ll help turn messy, real-world information into clear insights that support better product decisions, while learning how a modern SaaS company uses data and AI to improve both customer experiences and internal workflows.

You’ll work closely with product leaders, product owners, and operations partners, gaining hands-on experience with analytics, documentation, and process improvement in a culture that lives our values.

What You’ll Do

  • Support product and operations leaders with basic data analysis, using tools like Excel/Google Sheets to organize, clean, and interpret product and operational data.
  • Help transform data and research inputs into clear, simple summaries, including write-ups, slides, and lightweight dashboards that inform product decisions.
  • Assist with lightweight research and discovery work (e.g., reviewing notes, themes, and feedback) and help synthesize patterns or trends.
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge organization (e.g., meeting notes, decision logs, shared resources) so teams can find and reuse information quickly.
  • Experiment with AI tools (where appropriate and guided by our practices) to accelerate tasks like summarizing content, drafting documentation, or exploring data.
  • Partner with teammates to improve processes—spotting inefficiencies, proposing small experiments, and helping track outcomes.

Who You Are

  • Current college student (rising junior/senior or similar) with interest in product, data, or business/technical fields.
  • Background or strong interest in humanities or communications majors and how these skills apply to product and data work (e.g., critical thinking, writing, argumentation).
  • Demonstrated interest in data analytics (coursework, projects, clubs, or similar) and basic comfort with tools like Excel or Google Sheets; bonus if you’ve been exposed to SQL or BI tools.
  • Curious about AI technology and motivated to learn how AI can improve products and internal processes.
  • Strong analytical mindset: you enjoy digging into problems, asking “why,” and turning data into simple, understandable insights.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, especially when it comes to synthesizing information and explaining findings clearly to different audiences.
  • Effective communicator in both writing and conversations, able to explain what you found, how you found it, and why it matters.
  • Humble, hungry, smart:
    • Humble: open to feedback, willing to do unglamorous work, and focused on the team’s success.
    • Hungry: self-starter, eager to learn, and reliable in following through on tasks.
    • Smart: good judgment, emotionally intelligent, and someone who works well with others.
  • Comfortable working with messy information, organizing it, and keeping details accurate.
  • Willing to learn about Unanet’s products, customers, and internal tools and apply that knowledge quickly in your work.
  • Shows initiative and curiosity: proactively asks questions, explores new tools (including AI), and looks for ways to make the team’s work more effective.

Our Values

  • We are a Team: Employees, customers, and partners working together.
  • We are Customer-Focused: Customers are the heart of everything we do.
  • We are Driven: Seeking exceptional outcomes.
  • We Own Our Success: Every employee has a stake in our company.
  • We do the right thing and have fun in the process.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
