About Crossbeam

It’s an exciting time at Crossbeam. We built our company on a simple but powerful realization: partner ecosystems hold untapped potential to transform how companies go to market. That insight became a movement, now embraced by more than 30,000 companies using Crossbeam to unlock new data, build new growth engines, and provide powerful new market context to their AI agents. We’re scaling with speed, focus, and a vision that’s reshaping the future of go-to-market, backed by top-tier investors like Andreessen Horowitz, Insight Partners, Redpoint, FirstMark, Salesforce Ventures, and HubSpot Ventures  (yep, the biggest CRMs are investing in the future of go-to-market).

The opportunity ahead is exciting, and we’re pursuing it with curiosity, high standards, and a shared commitment to doing the best work of our careers.

About the Role:

We’re growing our Product Marketing team and looking for a strong, thoughtful PMM to help our fast-growing platform speak the language of the market. In this role, you’ll help shape how we position and go to market with our newest innovations in data, AI, and Ecosystem Intelligence. You’ll own launches, build messaging from scratch, and work cross-functionally to make sure what we’re building resonates with the right people.

You’ll join a small but mighty PMM team that’s known for rolling up our sleeves, partnering closely with product and GTM, and telling compelling stories that cut through the noise. If you love translating complexity into clarity, launching things that matter, and working on products that sit at the intersection of data, AI, and go-to-market, this one’s for you.
What You'll Do

  • Own messaging, positioning, and GTM strategy for key product areas — especially those focused on AI workflows, ecosystem signals, and data integrations. You’ll help shape the future of our platform narrative and translate complex capabilities into clear, compelling value for GTM teams.
  • Lead product launches from start to finish — working cross-functionally to craft messaging, build content, drive adoption, and support post-launch growth across every channel
  • Build customer-facing content (decks, landing page copy, in-app communication) and internal enablement (launch playbooks, talk tracks, demo outlines)
  • Use data to evaluate what’s working (and what’s not). You’ll optimize messaging and GTM tactics based on feedback, adoption metrics, and experimentation
  • Stay close to the market. You’ll monitor competitors, trends, and customer needs — and use those insights to shape GTM strategies, pricing, packaging, and positioning.
  • Identify and work closely with relevant partners to accelerate product growth trajectory and amplify value to customers
  • Appear publicly at product webinars, industry panels, and other events to spread Crossbeam’s awareness and messaging
  • Influence our Product roadmap by infusing marketing data and strategic insights into our Product prioritization work
  • Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to create high-impact work that moves the business forward.

What You'll Need:

  • Have 3–5 years of product marketing experience, most recently in high-growth B2B products, ideally at a company with data or AI at the core of its value story
  • You have fully embraced the use of AI tools to enhance and accelerate your outputs, knowing when and how to apply them to create the largest possible impact in a startup environment
  • You are a great writer and communicator—your superpower is turning abstract product concepts into simple, engaging narratives
  • You’ve had clear success developing and owning the GTM strategy to launch and scale compelling products
  • You know your current and future customers better than anyone. You understand how to segment your audience and are adept at tailoring your product marketing campaigns by persona and relevant outcomes.
  • You’re deeply familiar with competitive dynamics, market trends, partner ecosystems, and where there’s untapped potential in the market. You leverage this knowledge to develop differentiated positioning that sets your company apart and advocate for changes to market, sales, and product strategy
  • You’ve led product launches and worked cross-functionally to bring products to market with measurable impact from awareness through to adoption and rapid revenue growth
  • Your voice is clear and persuasive regardless of audience, channel, or format. You’re comfortable writing executive briefings, developing sales decks, crafting compelling messaging for customers, and everything in between.
  • You believe in Ecosystem-Led Growth as the dominant go-to-market motion for efficient and profitable growth
  • You’re not afraid to speak up when you have a point of view, but can “disagree and commit” once a final decision is reached
  • You believe in creating space for people with different backgrounds and viewpoints to share their opinions in a respectful environment
  • You have an unrivaled work ethic, and are excited to learn from the team around you while leveling up our existing product marketing efforts

Bonus points (not required):

  • Experience marketing APIs, data products, or integrations
  • Exposure to ecosystem software, partner tech, or co-selling workflows
  • Strong research instincts — you know how to dig into competitive intel or pull insights from a handful of customer calls

Interview Process:

We go through the same interview steps for all candidates to ensure equity in our hiring process. Our process is designed to learn as much about each candidate as possible, as well as to give candidates access to our team and learn about what it's like to be a team member at Crossbeam. Topics will range from technical skills to problem-solving approaches and collaboration:

  1. Crossbeam in-house recruiter
  2. 45-minute call with Director of Product Marketing
  3. 60-minute presentation – we’ll ask you to put together a presentation for a few folks from our team
  4. 30-min interview with CEO
  5. Final interview session with the hiring manager

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
