The role
As a Product Marketing Manager at SoFi, you will focus on driving growth, member delight and innovation across SoFi Checking & Savings, Invest, Insurance, Small Business and AtWork products. You’ll conduct competitive and user research, drive channel, creative and UX strategy, and experiment frequently on landing pages and within the SoFi app. You’ll own projects and marketing campaigns that drive a significant impact to SoFi’s new member growth and bottom line. This is a highly cross-functional role, both within our Marketing team and the cross-functional teams of the product business unit.
Attention to detail and an eye for quality are critical to your success, along with an ability to develop our product marketing in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we solve our members' problems. You are analytical and user-centric, able to dig into drop-offs within a marketing funnel, hypothesize a consumer pain point, and validate it through experimentation. You have a desire to fail fast to learn, iterate and improve faster. You write insightful creative briefs that excite creative teams and get them excited to develop compelling campaigns that fuel growth. Your excellent organizational and project management skills enable you to collaborate cross-functionally, build processes, consistently monitor KPIs, and disseminate insights broadly.
What you’ll do
- Referral Channel Leader across products - Develop new capabilities, optimizing offers and messaging, forecasting and managing to a budget, and driving continual growth.
- Drive Web Page Strategy - Conduct competitive/UX research and own A/B testing strategy for value propositions and UX design for a variety of high-traffic product web pages.
- Manage offers and sweepstakes - Document offer requirements, set up and oversee offer fulfillment and execution, write terms and conditions, monitor performance and prepare front-line operations agents for offer changes.
- Create marketing messages and campaigns, including writing creative briefs, designing structured tests and analyzing results iteratively. Coordinate changes to marketing disclosures, terms, etc across marketing channels.
- Manage marketing claims - including claim ideation, substantiation and approval
- Reporting - share out performance metrics to marketing team and partners
- Lead vendor onboarding across products
- Improve end-to-end conversion: Partner with Product Management to create a seamless experience, removing pain points and boosting conversion both in the app and web experiences. Be your customers’ advocate.
- Competitive & Consumer Trends - Understand and report on changes to the broader market context including market shifts, competitive threats, market size, and external factors and assist with research to help refine marketing messaging.
What you’ll need

- Data driven marketer: Excels at extracting insights from data to help understand the consumer, their behavior and the connectivity to business results to drive for continually improved performance.
- Proven experience launching successful marketing campaigns.
- Experience in product performance management.
- Proactive Problem Solver: Thrives in incredibly fast-paced environments, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Influential Leader: A strong communicator who can lead through influence, working across teams to deliver performance.
- Strong project management skills with experience working in matrixed organizations.
- Collaborative Team Player: Enjoys working on cross-functional teams with multiple stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years experience in marketing roles
- Ability to use data in the measurement and reporting of campaign effectiveness.
- Experience writing creative briefs,
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to influence others.
- Experience in financial services preferred; referral and/or web strategy is a plus.
