We partner closely with customers to simplify their demanding workflows and support faster, more efficient pursuit operations.

Overview

Joist AI is seeking a Marketing Manager - Product & Lifecycle to lead how we communicate with, activate, and grow our customer base—while also helping shape how we bring new products to market. This isn’t a traditional role—it blends lifecycle marketing, product education, and go-to-market strategy into one. You’ll be the bridge between Product, Marketing, and Customer Success—crafting the stories, programs, and experiences that guide users from first touch through long-term value.

You’ll design and execute personalized, high-performing campaigns that help customers onboard smoothly, adopt features confidently, and expand their use of Joist AI over time. At the same time, you’ll help lead product marketing efforts: defining positioning, creating go-to-market plans, developing enablement assets, and launching new offerings with clarity and impact. Every campaign you touch will be rooted in customer insight and tied to real business outcomes—retention, growth, and satisfaction.

This role reports into Marketing but is deeply cross-functional. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Creative to bring new features to market and build out programs that reflect the voice of the customer. You’ll translate product updates into clear, compelling stories and ensure every launch is met with excitement, education, and adoption.

You’ll thrive here if you’re a self-starter who moves fast, writes with purpose, and sees every word or message as a chance to connect, convert, or inspire. You use AI to scale your output, but bring creativity and precision to everything you build. You think in terms of user journeys, not just campaigns—and you love turning product details into customer value stories that resonate.

If you’re energized by launching new products, supporting customer success at scale, and turning insight into action—we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

Go-to-Market & Product Marketing

  • Develop and own product positioning, messaging frameworks, and value propositions tailored to Joist AI’s customers and buyer personas.

  • Lead go-to-market planning and execution for product launches, updates, and enhancements—ensuring impactful releases that drive pipeline, revenue, and client adoption.

  • Create sales enablement materials such as pitch decks, case studies, playbooks, and training resources to empower the Revenue team.

  • Manage communication strategies and content creation across channels, including social media, PR, website content, and product announcements.

  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform product strategy and positioning.

Lifecycle Marketing & Client Experience

  • Design and execute personalized, data-driven lifecycle campaigns—including onboarding, engagement, feature adoption, retention, and growth flows.

  • Build and optimize automated, behavior-triggered journeys using real-time data and segmentation strategies to deepen user engagement and reduce churn.

  • Develop and lead customer loyalty, referral, and expansion programs that drive growth and advocacy.

  • Collaborate with Product and Customer Success teams to build scalable enablement resources.

  • Monitor campaign platform health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize deliverability and data integrity.

  • Own content creation across lifecycle touchpoints—onboarding guides, nurture emails, product education materials—with a customer-first mindset.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support

  • Partner closely with Product, Sales, Content, and Growth teams to align messaging, timing, and execution across all initiatives.

  • Leverage AI tools to optimize content creation, data analysis, and campaign scalability.

  • Stay adaptable—pitch in across marketing functions and projects as needs evolve.

What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience–with a strong blend of product marketing and client marketing preferred

  • At least 3 years in SaaS or technology environments

  • Proven expertise in go-to-market planning and launch execution

  • Skilled at developing messaging frameworks and creating sales enablement assets

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-focused narratives

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong portfolio of lifecycle or CRM copy

  • Experience designing and executing automated campaigns

  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Creative, Content, and Customer Success teams

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders

  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, early-stage or startup environments with shifting priorities

  • Detail-oriented but creative, with a strong focus on quality and outcomes

  • Comfortable owning strategy while also executing hands-on work

  • Passionate about using AI and automation tools to scale marketing efforts

  • Bonus Points: Familiarity with AEC Industry

Why Join Joist AI?
  • Innovative Environment: Be part of a forward-thinking company that’s changing the AEC industry.

  • A seat on a lean, high-impact Marketing team with direct exposure to senior leadership and professionals across the firm

  • High ownership in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values precision, proactivity, data-driven decision-making, and storytelling

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.

  • Unlimited PTO, including paid holidays

  • Excellent health care coverage, including free* vision, dental, and life insurance.

  • New computer equipment plus workstation/technology allowance

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
