The Product Marketing Manager will steer the Go-To-Market strategy, develop messaging, enable sales, and manage product releases across teams.
We’re looking for a customer-centric, analytical, and collaborative Product Marketing Manager to join our product marketing team. The Product Marketing Manager, Edtech Effectiveness will influence and steer the Go-To-Market strategy for a subset of Instructure’s software, content, and services. The Edtech Effectiveness product group enables institutions to improve teaching and learning outcomes with unique, evidence-based insights that inform better operational, financial, product, and instructional decisions
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise and success working closely with product development teams, synthesizing market and competitive intel, developing external-facing messaging and content, enabling sales and customer success, and leading successful product/feature releases. This role will collaborate with stakeholders across the business in Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Product Management and others to drive consistent, strategic launch of products and services, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
- Product and market expertise: Demonstrate deep customer knowledge and be the voice of the customer and buyer to functional teams. Identify and understand market dynamics and competitive landscape. Get to know product functionality inside and out.
- Core messaging and positioning: Synthesize inputs across customer feedback, market research, and competitive intelligence to define target segments and develop associated core positioning and messaging for product and services.
- Release readiness: Influence the product roadmap via market and customer expertise, determine what level of support releases need, and ensure relevant materials are updated/created.
- Content development and industry events: Create compelling product marketing collateral, including presentations, case studies, thought leadership, and website content. Support the development of engaging programming at industry conferences and events.
- Sales enablement: Support broader sales enablement plans by developing associated tools including presentations and data sheets, competitive analysis and battle cards, whitepapers and opinion papers, TCO/ROI tools, and customer case studies.
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of product marketing experience in Education and/or Enterprise B2B software.
- Demonstrated experience influencing product roadmap decisions via customer, market, and competitor intelligence.
- Experience working closely with marketing, product management, services, and field sales teams to achieve shared revenue goals.
- Experience managing product releases of all sizes for mid-sized technology organizations.
- Experience mapping competitive landscapes, building out feature comparisons, and articulating unique differentiators.
