About the Role:

At Motive, the product marketing team is responsible for managing go-to-market initiatives and launches of new products and features, and maximizing adoption amongst our customer base. The team is focused on developing a deep understanding of customer needs, creating compelling product positioning and messaging, partnering with product managers and the broader marketing team to take new products to market, and enabling sales teams through materials such as training sessions, sales pitch decks, 1-pagers. The product marketing team also manages campaigns designed to target particular industries and personas, and programs such as Demos, Trials, and International Expansion.

We’re looking for someone who is highly organized to lead the operations of all Product Marketing efforts overseeing the timelines and deliverables of new product launches, projects and campaigns, and building repeatable processes to help us scale our marketing efforts. This role will be responsible for managing the prioritization, workstreams, and timelines of many projects happening concurrently. You’ll work directly with product marketing leads to understand the scope and desired timelines of various product launches and other projects, as well as work cross-functionally with all other marketing departments and product operations to coordinate their input and execution of our plans. Additionally, you will create new assets and execute updates to sales and marketing collateral as new products, features, and campaigns are released.

This role is remote and based in Mexico.

What You'll Do:

  • Work with the product marketing leads to understand the priorities of product launches, campaigns, events, competitive intelligence, and other initiatives each quarter, and prioritize potential projects accordingly, taking ownership of the product marketing calendar.
  • Work with product marketing leads to understand the needs of each project and support the creation and maintenance of each project through planning, production, launch, and reporting.
  • Work with stakeholders such as design, web, channels, and content to understand standard work processes, and build those processes and timelines into launch and initiative playbook expectations.
  • Manage and continually optimize team playbooks and checklists, ensuring they are fit for purpose for the scope of each product or initiative launch.
  • Ensure the delivery of reliable, on-time cross-functional project work.
  • Get into the weeds of understanding Motive’s products, value props, and benefits so that you can create new assets and execute changes to sales and marketing collateral as new product capabilities are released.
  • Define new processes to ensure that all materials and messaging are up-to-date across all locales when new products, features, or messaging are released.
  • As marketing functions evolve over time, ensure that new roles and stakeholders are proactively integrated into the product launch process.
  • Deliver regular reporting into product performance for launches and beyond.

What We're Looking For:

  • 4+ years of Product Marketing experience, ideally within a B2B selling environment.
  • Experience managing complex projects and product launches in the technology sector.
  • Someone who loves building, and is comfortable with defining new strategies and processes.
  • Someone with an operational mindset who will be able to take complex concepts and put them into practice, working cross-functionally across many stakeholders.
  • An excellent writer who can take responsibility for creating new assets or carrying out messaging and release updates to sales and marketing materials.
  • A constant learner, who loves to figure out problems and create solutions.
  • Experience with presenting to marketing and product leaders and gaining alignment on prioritization.
  • Experience working with tools such as Asana, Confluence, Salesforce, and Tableau.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills across different stakeholder personalities.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field plus fluency in speaking and writing in English.
  • Familiarity with Mexican players in trucking telematics, fleet management, or driver safety sectors would be a bonus.

Creating a diverse and inclusive workplace is one of Motive's core values. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
