The Toast Product Marketing team is responsible for connecting the Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to inform product development and bring new products to market through customer segmentation, value-based messaging, sales knowledge transfer, and cross-functional marketing activation. In this high-impact team, you will gain substantial senior leadership exposure and the opportunity to drive long-term customer and shareholder value at a hyper-growth company.

As the Product Marketing Manager for Hardware, you'll drive the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for our core hardware offerings, which are central to the Toast customer experience.

You'll partner closely with Product, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to lead GTM for our front-of-house and back-of-house restaurant hardware portfolio, including Terminals, Handhelds, and Kitchen Display Screens. This role involves leading product launch and lifecycle initiatives, campaign planning, and defining product positioning and messaging. You'll also leverage customer and market insights to inform our long-term roadmap and GTM strategies.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of running high-impact product launches, driving cross-functional alignment and leadership, and possesses strong critical thinking and analytical skills to excel in a growth environment.


About this roll*:   

  • Lead go-to-market strategy, launch processes, and stakeholder management, and influence product development for new POS products and features
  • Partner with product, finance, and sales teams to develop key initiatives to drive efficient product attach and adoption
  • Become a market and sector expert on key restaurant products, and use customer and market research to inform both product and GTM strategy
  • Take ownership of conversion and adoption metrics and GTM performance, and implement cross-functional plans to drive improvements
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement to drive sales productivity through product knowledge transfer, seller collateral, and value-based talk tracks

Do you have the right ingredients* (Requirements):   

  • 4-8 years of applicable experience in product marketing or in a related role.
  • Highly analytical self-starter adept at synthesizing market data and research to inform product and go-to-market strategies that resonate with customer needs.
  • Proven leader of complex and strategic, cross-functional go-to-market initiatives from ideation to execution, skilled at partnering with diverse teams to drive impactful solutions.
  • Excellent communicator and storyteller, capable of translating complex content into compelling narratives and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
  • Adaptable and entrepreneurial, thrives in ambiguous, fast-growing environments, and eagerly dives into new products, industries, and technical details to deliver value.
  • Inbound and outbound product marketing expertise, with a track record of launching new products/features and developing segment-targeted positioning and messaging for multi-product platforms.

  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in Spanish or Mandarin.
  • Experience in B2B sales enablement.
  • Experience with Salesforce, SQL, and/or Looker.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
  • Prior experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions, if eligible), benefits, and equity (if eligible).

Pay Range
$115,000$184,000 USD
