Who we areAbout Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Product Marketing is a global team of capable, friendly, user-oriented marketers, partnering closely with Stripe’s world-class product and engineering teams.

  • Our Product Marketing team’s mission is to generate customer insights that inform Stripe’s product strategy, lead go-to-market for our suite of products, and create and execute campaigns to drive product growth.
  • Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional role at Stripe, partnering closely with Product and Engineering, Sales, Design, Developer Relations, and Communications to name a few.
  • Different from many other Product Marketing teams, our team works across the entire product lifecycle, from helping shape the product, to driving launch and commercialization, to growing product adoption post-launch.
What you’ll do

We’re looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager to define and evolve the stories that shape how the world sees Stripe. This is a high-impact, highly cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of product, marketing, and sales. You’ll be responsible for developing Stripe’s overarching narrative, supporting major product launches, and helping users and customers understand Stripe’s complete portfolio.

  • You’ll partner with PMM, Design, Engineering, Growth and Product teams to understand and help prioritize the needs of our target segments, understand their needs and shape user experience across our site
  • Lead and evolve Stripe’s external product architecture messaging, ensuring it reflects how users think and how our portfolio is evolving.
  • Own the public-facing product roadmap, partnering with PMMs, Product Ops, and Product to define what we share, how, and when.
  • Craft and maintain Stripe’s core sales narrative, ensuring it’s simple, cohesive, and tailored to different customer types and sales conversations.
  • Coordinate major launch moments, including those tied to Stripe Sessions and Stripe Tour, to deliver cohesive narratives across channels (sales, web, comms, etc).
  • Partner with teams across the company, including Product, PMM, Sales, Design, and Comms, to bring our product stories to life.
  • Be a steward of Stripe’s brand, ensuring our portfolio storytelling reflects our ambitions and core strengths.
Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

  • A storyteller. You have deep empathy for users and are able to adapt how you communicate to best reach and engage your audience—from developers to technical and non-technical founders—and differentiate Stripe. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Structured and strategic. You bring order to complexity. You’re able to distill ambiguous inputs into clear frameworks, roadmaps, and priorities.
  • Data-oriented. You like working with data and insights and pair that with your passion for users to generate balanced and thoughtful points of view for how to take our products to market
  • Organized. You are able to manage highly interdependent, complex projects and keep various work streams on track.
  • Ambitious. You are eager to make an impact at Stripe. You thrive in a fast-moving environment and working with passionate sales teams, are able to operate fluidly between the 30,000-foot strategy level and the micro-detail to get things right.
  • A team player. This role collaborates across the wider Marketing team, Design, Product, Growth, Sales, Comms and basically with every team at Stripe. You are able to work with a range of disciplines to execute on your work.
Minimum requirements
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience that can span marketing, product marketing, growth marketing or product management.
  • At least 3-5 years of marketing or go-to-market experience
  • Experience working on marketing or growth throughout a SaaS product's lifecycle
  • Experience working in B2B settings and with sales teams
Preferred qualifications
  •  Experience working with the startup founder or developer audience is preferred but not required

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
