As our Product Marketing Engineer, you'll be the face of our community programs, creating compelling content that resonates with practitioners and helps them understand the value of our security solutions. You'll build and nurture a thriving community ecosystem that drives our self-serve funnel while establishing Twingate as a thought leader in the networking & security space. You will help Twingate users succeed and become heroes at work.
You'll have the chance to:
• Shape how we engage with practitioners in home labs and at work
• Create content that educates and inspires practitioners to adopt our solutions
• Build and foster a passionate community of Twingate practitioners
• Establish yourself as a respected voice in the networking, security and developer spaces
What You'll Do
- Content Creation: Develop compelling technical content including sample projects and code, technical documentation, tutorials, videos, and blog posts that showcase Twingate's capabilities.
- Community Building: Promote Twingate at conferences, local meetups, and other industry events to increase awareness and drive sign-ups with a personable and tehcnically credible voice.
- Documentation Leadership: Own the plan and drive how users and practitioners get work done. Deliver the documentation required for Twingate products to win by creating clear, comprehensive guides that help users progress from free to paid tiers
- Self-Serve Journey Optimization: Identify problems and opportunity and build the capabilities needs to craft exceptional first impressions with Twingate, fostering speedy adoption, regular use, affinity and ultimately advocacy for business use of Twingate.
- Feedback Collection: Gather insights from the developer community to inform product improvements and new features and provide feedback to the product team from a developer perspective
A Day In The Life
- A couple times a quarter, you post a YouTube tutorial demonstrating a Twingate implementation for specific use cases
- Day to day, you stay on top of documentation, making sure that products, features, and sample projects are easy to get some.
- Now and then: you bridge the gap with utilities or apps that use our public API to help a customer do something we had not anticipated but need to make happen to drive growth
- Here and there: Speak at a developer conference about modern approaches to secure access and support community events as part of the Twingate Builder virtual team. You will lead IRL meetups for hands on keyboard users of Twingate in your region and via occasional travel.
- Work closely with the product manager for self-serve customer journeys to identify friction and bad experiences and implement solutions, which might involve web development, solution and project development for specific uses cases, and engaging in social media forums to fix issues or makes things just that much more awesome.
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in software development, developer relations, technical advocacy, or a similar role that bridges technical and communication skills
- Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex concepts to various audiences. You gotta write code and love it.

What We Value
- High Agency: We own the problem and don’t think in silos. “Not my job” is not an acceptable excuse if something is not working. Figure out what’s wrong and take initiative to solve the problem. Speak up. Company success is everyone’s job.
- Deliver Customer Value: Company success follows customer success (not the other way around). Everything we do starts and ends with delivering value to our customers.
- Continuous Improvement: Making small improvements consistently is preferred to aiming for big leaps. We embrace that we may not get it right the first time, so we learn by doing, making mistakes, and course correcting constantly. 1% better every day is how we accomplish great things over time.
- Go Find Out: We seek a deeper understanding beyond the surface, and get our hands dirty with ground truth data (no matter the seniority). We know anecdotes can be more powerful than aggregate stats because they can reveal hidden truths. Always be learning.
- Startup DNA: We operate at a higher clock speed and believe small committed teams can make the impossible possible. We embrace that great results only come with great effort, and we lift each other to achieve more than we could achieve alone.
