Stand Together is a philanthropic community that helps America’s boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our country’s biggest problems, from education to the economy, broken communities, and toxic division, among dozens of other pressing issues. We provide our partners with access to resources including funding, thought leadership, a network of peers, and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society.

As a Product Marketing Director (internally known as Fundraising Initiatives Director), you will lead fundraising campaigns that power the Uniting Americans Around Our Founding Principles (UAFP) pillar.

This is not a traditional marketing or fundraising role. You will architect and scale campaigns that fund a movement of movements—aligning philanthropic, corporate, and partner capital to a unifying national narrative that inspires contribution, expands participation, and strengthens the American spirit. Your role will connect funding to cultural storytelling, large-scale activation, and a growing digital ecosystem designed to turn inspiration into action.

You will leverage your expertise in movement-scale fundraising, go-to-market strategy, and cross-sector partnerships to drive demand generation, pipeline development, and fundraising enablement for $100M+ initiatives within a dynamic, entrepreneurial team environment.

What You Will Do

    • Lead end-to-end fundraising campaign strategy. Drive the full lifecycle of fundraising campaigns—from narrative development and value proposition design to donor segmentation, channel strategy, and execution—ensuring alignment with movement strategies.
    • Build and scale a durable, multi-channel fundraising pipeline. Develop and optimize a diversified funding pipeline across high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporate partners; apply demand generation and segmentation strategies to drive qualified engagement and maximize conversion.
    • Translate movement strategy into compelling cases for support. Craft clear, inspiring fundraising narratives that connect donor investment to large-scale cultural impact—linking storytelling, partnerships, and participation to measurable outcomes (reach, engagement, contribution).
    • Drive cross-sector partnership fundraising strategies. Collaborate with corporate partners, cultural institutions, and nonprofit organizations to align funding with activation—securing both financial investment and participation in the broader movement ecosystem.
    • Enable fundraising across a complex, integrated ecosystem. Partner with marketing, product, partnerships, and frontline fundraising teams to ensure consistent messaging, effective enablement tools, and seamless execution across campaigns, platforms, and activations.
    • Leverage data and insights to optimize performance. Design and implement performance frameworks and dashboards to track pipeline health, campaign effectiveness, and ROI; continuously refine strategies based on data and experimentation.
    • Partner with senior leadership on strategic growth. Support long-term planning, resource allocation, and investment prioritization to scale fundraising efforts in alignment with ambitious national goals.

What You Will Bring

    • Experience working with C-suite and other executives; client facing experience preferred.
    • Strategic thinking; ability to see the big picture and tie together moving constituent parts. Ability to operate across interconnected efforts—including campaigns, partnerships, and digital platforms—while maintaining clarity on priorities and outcomes.
    • 10+ years of career experience, with experience leading high-value fundraising campaigns, large-scale product marketing initiatives, or complex go-to-market strategies, with a track record of driving significant revenue growth preferred.
    • Ability to translate complex strategies into compelling, people-centered cases for support that inspire action and align diverse stakeholders around a shared vision.
    • Proven ability to build and manage sophisticated pipelines using segmentation, targeting, and donor engagement strategies to accelerate acquisition and conversion.
    • Demonstrated success working with foundations, high-net-worth donors, and/or corporate leaders to structure partnerships that combine funding with strategic activation preferred.
    • Familiarity with media, storytelling, or cultural campaigns and how large-scale campaigns or activations can drive engagement and behavior change. (preferred)
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building and scaling new initiatives in fast-paced environments, with a bias toward action, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
    • Ability to align cross-functional teams and stakeholders around shared goals, ensuring coordinated execution across a matrixed organization.
    • Strong analytical orientation with experience using metrics to guide strategy, measure success, and optimize performance.
    • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.

Our Values: Working for an organization within the Stand Together philanthropic community is different from many other places. The culture is deeply rooted in Principle Based Management® (PBM®), a framework guided by the principles that drive human progress, such as dignity, openness, and bottom-up empowerment. PBM® empowers employees to be entrepreneurial, to innovate, and to continually drive transformation.

We believe diversity fuels creativity, broadens knowledge, and helps drive success.  That is why we’re proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and strive to treat all employees and applicants with honesty, dignity, and respect.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
