We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Product Manager to lead the continued evolution of the Forbes Intelligence platform, which powers our global rankings and list franchises. This is a remote role.

In this position, you will expand and enhance a core platform that supports Forbes’ most iconic Lists, enabling new verticals, geographies, and revenue opportunities. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Editorial, Data and Engineering teams to ensure the platform is structured, scalable, and positioned to support growing commercial and audience demand. The ideal candidate is energized by improving and scaling existing systems, bringing structure to complex data workflows, and unlocking monetization opportunities through thoughtful product strategy. You thrive in cross-functional environments, balance long-term platform vision with near-term execution, and are motivated by building products that drive measurable business impact. This role reports to the Director of Product: Acquisition, Conversion & Engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritize the roadmap for expanding the Forbes Intelligence platform to support new rankings, verticals, and geographies
  • Identify and deliver platform enhancements that unlock monetization opportunities across subscription, enterprise, licensing, and data products
  • Ensure rankings and list data are structured and maintained to support downstream commercial use cases
  • Partner with Sales teams to translate platform capabilities into scalable product offerings, pricing models, and packaging strategies
  • Improve workflows that move rankings from research to structured data to product, reducing manual effort and increasing speed to market
  • Standardize methodologies and data structures to support scalability and repeatability across franchises
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Data teams to define requirements and deliver scalable platform improvements
  • Establish and track KPIs tied to platform adoption, operational efficiency, and revenue contribution
  • Monitor platform performance, gather stakeholder feedback, and iterate on capabilities
  • Evaluate competitive intelligence products and evolving market demand to inform platform strategy

The Ideal Candidate

  • 2–5 years of Product Management experience, preferably with digital, data, or platform-based products
  • Experience enhancing or scaling existing systems rather than building solely from scratch
  • Familiarity with products incorporating AI-driven features, including generative AI, classification, or data automation
  • Demonstrated experience supporting revenue-generating features or products
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with structured data
  • Experience partnering closely with Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Interest in media, rankings, research, or intelligence-driven products
  • Ability to manage projects independently within clear goals and strategic direction

The annual base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $125,000

This said, we may have to make changes to our compensation estimates and job descriptions from time to time and we expressly reserve the right to do so.  Should we make any such changes, this advertisement will be revised to reflect such revisions.  We encourage you to occasionally re-visit this advertisement to ensure that you are abreast of any changes.  Thank you for your interest in joining Forbes!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
