This position will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives and projects to successful completion. The individual will manage the product line throughout its life cycle to ensure continuity and will guide a team in developing and implementing key product initiatives. The position will be responsible for being a champion of the product line and for its profitable growth. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. The individual will build products from existing ideas and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and market expertise to develop short- and long-term goals that align with the organization’s vision.

What you'll do:

  • Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical implementation and product distribution. Evaluates program success against financial, operational, and clinical goals and proposes initiatives and changes to meet goals.
  • Provide in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis and positioning information. Assist in identification and selection of benefit programs and available vendors.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams in the development and implementation of new product and market initiatives.
  • Establish relationships with key partners/vendors and conduct due diligence reviews and analysis as needed. External relationship management regarding working sessions, escalations, learnings and action planning for indicated services.
  • Direct strategic planning of assigned product line, including short and long-term blueprints for market share, revenue growth and net profit.
  • Assist in the development of pricing strategies and marketing campaigns for assigned product line.
  • Ability to be flexible and responsive to market changes and the ability to develop and implement contingency plans.
  • Monitor and report on Key Regulatory or Legislative activity regarding assigned product line. Reviews and ensures vendor compliance with SLAs. Develop and/or participate in the development of regulatory submissions and audits for third-party vendors as required.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, health administration, economics or related field
  • Three (3) years of product management experience in a healthcare, insurance or financial services industry or related field.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement. The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments.

The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in insurance, healthcare, or financial service industry.
  • Group health product and program development experience.
