Company Overview:

SimpleClosure is redefining the way businesses wind down, transforming what has historically been a painful and bureaucratic process into a seamless and compliant experience. Every year, hundreds of thousands of businesses in the U.S. shut down, and we aim to be the technology leader at the forefront of this overlooked yet critical lifecycle moment. Join us and make an outsized impact as we create innovative solutions for businesses, their teams, and their stakeholders.

Job Overview:

We’re looking for a Product Manager who’s excited to help shape our product as we build out the category-defining platform for business closures. In this role, you’ll work closely with our CEO, engineering, design, and operations teams to turn user insights into intuitive, effective product experiences. You’ll help drive projects forward, support the product development lifecycle, and contribute meaningfully to our roadmap as we scale.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of product experience who’s eager to take on more ownership and grow alongside a high-impact, mission-driven team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Product Development: Help manage the product development lifecycle for key features, from discovery to launch, ensuring smooth collaboration across teams.

  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with engineering, design, operations, and leadership to build and iterate on core product offerings.

  • Understand User Needs: Participate in customer research and feedback loops to surface pain points, identify opportunities, and validate ideas.

  • Execute with Quality: Assist in writing clear requirements and prioritizing work to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.

  • Monitor and Learn: Track product performance, analyze results, and suggest improvements based on data and user insights.

  • Stay Curious: Keep an eye on trends in legal tech, compliance, and the startup ecosystem to help inform our evolving product direction.

Qualifications:
  • 2–3+ years of product management or related experience, ideally in a B2B SaaS, fintech, or legal tech environment

  • Familiarity with agile product development and cross-functional team collaboration

  • Comfortable writing user stories, contributing to product specs, and working closely with design and engineering

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate user and business needs into clear product priorities

  • Data-savvy and curious — able to interpret product metrics and user behavior to drive decisions

  • Resourceful and adaptable — thrives in a fast-moving startup environment

  • A team player who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to get things done

What we offer:
  • Compensation: $125,000 - $155,000

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Competitive equity package

  • Employer Covered Medical Benefits

  • Remote/hybrid work

  • In person team retreat

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
