About Us

Udacity is now an Accenture company, and exciting things are happening! 🚀 We are on a mission of forging futures in tech through radical talent transformation in digital technologies. We offer a unique and immersive online learning platform, powering corporate technical training in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Autonomous Systems, Cloud Computing and more. Our rapidly growing global organization is revolutionizing how the enterprise market bridges the talent shortage and skills gaps during their digital transformation journey.

We’re seeking an innovative Product Manager.

In this role, you’ll own the learner journey across our platform, shaping features that maximize engagement, retention, and successful outcomes. You’ll work at the intersection of content, AI, and product design to build experiences that feel intuitive, motivating, and deeply human—even when scaled globally.

Your work will focus on helping learners stay on track, feel supported, and achieve their goals. Think: personalized learning paths powered by AI, self-service troubleshooting and tutoring tools, peer and mentor connection features, and progress dashboards that truly motivate. You will also partner with engineering and content teams to ensure that our courses aren’t just high-quality, but also delivered in ways that drive meaningful results for individuals and enterprise clients.

If you thrive at the intersection of learning, product, and technology—and you get excited about designing experiences that empower students to succeed—this is your chance to lead a critical piece of Udacity’s learner transformation.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead product development for learner-facing experiences that drive engagement, retention, and success.
  • Define and deliver features such as progress tracking, AI-powered learning assistants, and personalized content recommendations.
  • Collaborate with content, design, engineering, and AI teams to refine interactive and motivational learning experiences.
  • Use learner research, interviews, and analytics to deeply understand student needs and pain points.
  • Translate insights into product requirements and experiments that directly impact student success metrics.
  • Partner with enterprise and support teams to ensure experiences meet the needs of both B2C and B2B learners.
  • Track and report key metrics such as retention, program completion, and learner satisfaction.
  • Continuously explore new technologies, formats, and approaches to improve the learner journey.
What We Value

Required:

  • 4+ years of product management experience
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, able to turn complex learner needs into clear product vision.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with design, engineering, data, and content teams.
  • Data-driven mindset: comfortable with experimentation, cohort analysis, and student outcome metrics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact environment with strong ownership of outcomes.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in Edtech
  • Experience increasing engagement for a digital platform with millions of users
  • Experience embedding or collaborating on AI-powered learning or engagement features.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms, content delivery systems, or student success tools.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
