ABOUT YOU 

As a  Product Manager, you are responsible for managing the production of all products for the company, including vinyl, CDs, games, and other merchandise.  You will be critical in developing and maintaining good relationships with partners, vendors and artists. You must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and problem-solving proficiency to navigate the complex logistics, tight deadlines and unpredictable variables inherent in producing products.  Passion for the industry and familiarity with current trends to implement best practices is essential for success in this role.  This position reports to the Director of Product.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manage existing and establish new vendor relationships as required for product creation. 
  • Determine the best options for product production based on initial design concepts.
  • Create and maintain production budgets and schedules for product delivery, working in tandem with clients and partners to keep all parties informed of their responsibilities and on track with the delivery schedule.
  • Manage developers and artists to ensure timely delivery of all elements per established production schedule. 
  • Create and submit POs, BOMS, and invoices and facilitate communication between vendors and accounting as needed. 
  • Effectively communicate production status/updates/upcoming deadlines to the internal team. 
  • Manage and facilitate product creation and design elements from concept through prototyping/proofing to delivery of final product to customers.
  • Manage timelines for current and future/unassigned products.
  • Responsible for order quantities, wholesale order production requirements, product re-orders. 
  • Coordinate asset approvals with clients and Creative Directors as required. 
  • Participate in creative product brainstorms. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in production of physical goods, supply chain management, preferably in a retail or consumer goods industry.
  • Strong follow-through on all projects; ability to handle various projects in a fast-paced environment and bring projects to timely completion.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Expertise in the product or market including specific technical or industry knowledge.
  • Superior project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Natural tendency to be curious, positive and creative.
  • Team player who collaborates well with others.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Project Management software, Netsuite  and other relevant software applications.
  • Experience preparing audio masters and art files for physical production preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. This may require sitting or standing at a computer for extended periods, speaking on the phone, and other physical activities associated with a product manager role.

This is a full time, exempt position with salary. Hours are 9am - 5:30p, Monday - Friday, with occasional work outside of business hours including weekends. The position is hybrid at our offices in Highland Park. The anticipated salary range is $75-85,000 annually DOE.
