What You'll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the team responsible for our member recommendations.
  • Develop deep, nuanced understanding of our unique product and the expectations of our global community, becoming a subject-matter expert regarding our recommendation philosophy and systems.
  • Partner with business leaders, engineers, and data scientists to ideate, prioritize, plan, and ship impactful adjustments and improvements.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strongly versed in agile methodology and technical ticket writing
  • The ability to clearly synthesize and execute the company’s product vision as it relates to recommendations
  • Strong product intuition, deep understanding of our community, and ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • A team player who can collaborate and build trust with engineers, data science and other cross-functional teammates
  • Ability to independently initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Communicate concisely and influence outcomes

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience managing a product development roadmap and shipping consumer products
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Track record of working on products with a high quality bar.
  • Experience across the entire product lifecycle including: defining product needs, ideation, prioritization, development, pre/post-launch execution including A/B tests and analysis
  • Experience running agile teams and processes
  • Experience writing technical documentation
  • Experience leading teams working with algorithmic recommendation systems and machine learning
  • Strong in projecting timelines and building roadmaps
  • A passion for helping people meet using technology
  • No task is too big or too small
