About the role

Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) are now recruiting for a Product Manager to join the Trading team. The Trading Product team are responsible for the vision, strategy, growth, roadmap, and performance of key client journeys, products, services, and platforms. What you’ll be doing

  • Take ownership of a product and play a lead role within a cross-functional team to optimise the client and commercial value it delivers
  • Take ownership of defining a vision, strategy and roadmap for the product – as well as the key performance indicators 
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver a roadmap that drives value for both the client and the business
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant regulatory requirements across the client trading journey
  • Ensure trading client journeys meet Product Governance reviews and the requirements of Consumer Duty, working closely with Client, Operations, Digital, Risk and Compliance to ensure HL is delivering outstanding client outcomes.
  • Work with a cross-functional team to create hypotheses and run experiments to validate understanding of problem areas or solution ideas
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, regulatory changes, and competitor
  • activities; translating market opportunities and customer needs into commercially viable offerings.
  • Use performance and engagement data, and feedback loops, to uncover opportunities, and make well-informed decisions and recommendations
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint reviews or demos, refinement, and planning
  • Actively lead the facilitation of all refinement activities using techniques such as customer journey mapping, story mapping, and clear, well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria for the squad 

About you

  • Demonstrable experience in relevant roles, specifically within the Trading, Investment, or Wealth Management industry.
  • Sharp commercial mindset, excellent stakeholder management, and confident communication skills.
  • Experience of designing and delivering significant propositional change to improve client
  • experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of different asset classes: cash equites, investments trusts, exchange traded products, fixed income, and funds.
  • Understanding of regulatory landscape and the Consumer Duty and experience of
  • managing in this environment.
  • Experience of leading large virtual teams of colleagues to achieve success, building a positive and inclusive working environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of using data and research to develop client understanding.
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment, discovering, and delivering change at pace using quantitative and qualitative inputs to make informed product decisions.

Interview process

The interview process for this role will be a two-stage interview consisting of competency and technical questions and an assessment

Working Schedule

The Product Manager role is a Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Our office is based in Bristol, BS1 5HL. Hybrid working is available where only 2-3 days a week is required in the office.
