Position Summary:

The Product Manager works as part of a team responsible for product management across the full product life cycle and engages with sales, marketing, client services and technical teams to ensure new products and features are delivered with the highest quality and in accordance with customer needs. This position focuses on various initiatives across our Supply Chain and Compliance products that primarily support our recall processes, products, and services.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Develop complex business cases, product line pro-forma, or other decision analysis projects, including data collection and preliminary analysis; knowledgeable about and proficient with common techniques and frameworks for asking critical questions and conducting analysis.
  • Develop requisite level process flows depicting current and future states as well as user experience impacts.
  • Independently manage one or more simultaneous product initiatives through the full product life cycle (from concept to launch) of low to moderate complexity; manage high complexity product initiatives with direct supervision.
  • Independently conduct research on competition, users, and customers to inform product strategy, including win-loss analysis, profitability analysis, and feasibility; actively contribute to creation of competitive strategy for a major product line.
  • Collaborate with integrated product team(s), go-to-market teams (marketing, sales, services, solution architects) to successfully launch new product initiatives of moderate complexity with independence, and high complexity with supervision; support sales efforts with product-level expertise.
  • Be the owner of a product(s) roadmap; develop a point of view based on a variety of inputs and desired outcomes; typically planning from 1 sprint to 12 months ahead.
  • Able to use an outcome-based prioritization framework but needs support in setting nuanced OKRs and mapping initiatives against them.
  • Understand technical architecture at a high level to identify impacted technical components.
  • Communicate with the team, product leadership and key stakeholders frequently and effectively communicate product initiatives and priorities.
  • Ability to be sought out by stakeholders and business partners for product expertise and knowledge of customer needs.
  • Ability to take a variety of diverse inputs and synthesize them into a compelling product story.
  • Comfortably create and present information to non-executive level audiences.
  • Provide cross functional influence within specific domain(s) of expertise; build productive internal and external working relationships; interact internally with functional peer groups and occasionally, with those outside of functional groups.
  • Talk to customers using their area of product, always looking for deeper insight; understand the problems they want solved and use this insight to effectively create the best possible value in their product area.
  • Conducts research, helping to define the problems we should be seeking to understand and to validate decision-making.
  • Consistently and reliably own the problem through to the solution within and across teams, peers, and partners.
  • Maintain prioritized backlog; develop high quality requirements and write user stories for complex features with little-no errors. Prepare regularly Product Increment Plan as well as annual roadmap.
  • Able to break down work into the smallest possible user story with little guidance.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies; coordinate analytics, UX, design, business readiness activities (inputs & dependencies).
  • Ensure product quality is high; contribute to QA testing of product features.
  • Identify risks and issues and proactively find solutions to any obstacles.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, technology or related area
  • 3-5 years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position
  • Product Owner Certification is a bonus
  • Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
