"I can succeed as a Product Manager at Capital Group"

Our investment unit-level strategies underscore the need to further evolve and strengthen our investment process as part of our long-term strategy. Looking forward, we expect growth and change will continue and accelerate, as we pursue a long-term strategic agenda that will further expand Capital’s investment strategies to serve the evolving needs of our global client base.

One of the most dynamic areas of change and investment is the advancement of AI / ML technologies. This role will play a critical role in driving adoption of a rapidly growing number of powerful proprietary and third party tools.

Role Summary:

Capital Group’s Investment Group Capability Team is searching for a dynamic leader to drive our continuous and accelerating efforts to introduce new, AI-focused technologies for our investor community. This leader will be working on AI-powered tools and other key technologies, collaborating with Capability Leads, Portfolio Managers and Analysts, as well as world-class engineers, designers and product managers.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Own, develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for technology products – with special focus on AI technology - including product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market tactics.

· Own an ongoing go to market bill-of-material including in-app notifications, emails, brochures, in-person training (E.g., lunch & learns) and online training.

· Plan and execute product launches, including coordinating with product teams, business management and any other relevant constituents. Partner closely with enterprise technology training teams, as well as dedicated investor development teams.

· Monitor and analyze performance, tools adoption, and customer success. Provide insights and recommendations for optimization. Initiate awareness building activities based on trends proactively observed.

· Serve as the point of contact with product management teams; representing the health of our ecosystem, launch efficiency and opportunities to improve.

· Build and maintain relationships with key industry influencers and partners. Understand the competitive landscape of other asset managers deeply.

· Coordinate and align various stakeholders’ resources, vie for budget and spend when needed; ambitiously set collective goals and pursue them using cross-organizational influence and leaning into existing governance structures and teams.

"I am the person Capital Group is looking for."

· You can translate user insights and business objectives into a compelling vision and strategy that aligns with our investment capabilities and goals.

· You've partnered cross-functionally to solve complex problems. You have the confidence and courage to influence others and add value with a focus on business impact and customer delight.

· You are a skilled communicator, can facilitate ambiguous and challenging discussions and articulate complex concepts and ideas to senior leaders and diverse audiences. You place a high value on being authentic, respectful, and engaging.

· You have experience in owning and executing the go-to market plan, monitoring, reporting on customer effect and defining key metrics. When developing and executing a plan, you consider long term impacts and make a personal commitment to exploring diverse perspectives and dissenting viewpoints.

· You are a creative storyteller. You can imagine novel narratives that bring innovations to life in the minds of customers.

· You thrive on challenges and enjoy partnering with others to achieve meaningful results. You are hungry and compete to ship value to customers in any and all ways.

· You have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study and five or more years of product management or product marketing experience; financial services or asset management experience highly preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
