Job Description:

A Product Manager works to roadmap and deliver core functionality that helps our customers improve their learning and business outcomes. They deliver important features and further areas of focus that align to our company strategy. Their role is to help identify and build frictionless points of engagement with our users.

Who you’re committed to being:

  • You enjoy learning and are open to new ways of doing things.

  • You are not afraid to be yourself, experiment, make mistakes and learn from them, ask questions, or voice your concerns.

  • When communicating you are self-aware, insightful, and proactive.

  • You love partnering across the organization and have experiencing driving GTM coordination as well as partnership across your technical teams.

  • You believe in continuous improvement and request frequent feedback from others.

What you’ll do:

  • Native Mobile Apps (iOS & Android): Own the end-to-end experience of Pluralsight's iOS and Android apps — serving as the primary persona owner for mobile learners and ensuring every surface is optimized for on-the-go, interrupted, and offline learning patterns.

  • macOS App: Own the standalone macOS native application, ensuring it delivers a first-class desktop-native experience distinct from the browser — with appropriate platform conventions and performance expectations.

  • Native App Foundation: Drive the strategy for a shared cross-platform foundation (e.g., React Native or Flutter) that enables consistent, high-quality native experiences across platforms while reducing duplicative engineering effort.

  • Cross-PM Mobile Advocacy: Partner with PMs across Courses, Assessments, Labs, Lifecycle, and other product areas to ensure their features are thoughtfully adapted — not just ported — for mobile form factors, interaction models, and use contexts.

  • Mobile-First Experiences: Identify and champion capabilities that are uniquely valuable on mobile — including offline access, push-driven re-engagement, widget integrations, and device-native interactions — that meaningfully differentiate the mobile experience.

  • Platform Health & Quality: Own the metrics and standards that define a high-quality native app experience — crash rates, load performance, app store ratings, and accessibility — ensuring mobile is never a second-class surface.

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience owning native mobile products (iOS and/or Android) at a SaaS or consumer technology company, with measurable impact on engagement, retention, or store performance.

  • Deep familiarity with mobile platform conventions, app store ecosystems, and the distinct interaction and usage patterns of mobile vs. desktop users.

  • Experience working within a cross-platform mobile framework (React Native, Flutter, or equivalent) and understanding the tradeoffs between shared foundations and platform-native capabilities.

  • Proven ability to operate as a platform or persona owner — coordinating across multiple feature PMs to ensure a coherent, high-quality experience without direct ownership of every underlying feature.

  • Familiarity with mobile-specific engagement mechanics including push notifications, offline sync, and device-native integrations.

  • Experience partnering with design and engineering to define and uphold mobile quality standards, including performance benchmarks and accessibility requirements.

  • Experience with app store optimization, release management, and platform-specific review processes is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Product Manager for SaaS or software products

  • Experience working with cross-functional Agile teams comprised of Engineers and Product Designers

  • Proven experience working with ambiguity and being able to build strategic direction and roadmap

  • This is a remote role; however, applicants located within 45 miles of our Westlake/Dallas, TX office should expect to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. This approach enables more effective collaboration, quicker decision-making, and a stronger culture, while still providing flexibility.

Why you’ll love working here:

  • We work in a blended environment that supports collaboration, flexibility, and connection across teams.

  • We are mission-driven, shaping the future of tech upskillling and delivering impact that matters.

  • We foster a culture of inclusion and belonging, where everyone can contribute and thrive.

  • We are always learning, creating an environment where you can take on new challenges, expand your skills, and grow with purpose.

  • Benefits include competitive compensation, bonus eligibility, comprehensive medical coverage, unlimited PTO, wellness reimbursement, professional development funds, and more.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
