About Mercor

Mercor's mission is to organize human intelligence to power the AI economy. We're a leading AI data company, building the layer between human expertise and frontier models. Millions of domain experts on the platform are paid over $4 million per day to train frontier AI models. Mercor's APEX benchmark family measures AI's real-world impact on professional work. Mercor Enterprise brings this same infrastructure to Fortune 500 companies: helping companies capture how their best people actually work, translating that expertise directly back into agents.

Mercor is creating a new category of work where expertise powers AI advancement. Achieving this requires an ambitious, fast-paced and deeply committed team. You’ll work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society. Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in-person five days a week in our San Francisco, NYC, or London offices.

About the Role

Mercor is building its first mobile app, and we're looking for a Product Manager to own it end to end. The app will be how experts apply for jobs on Mercor, track their contracts, and complete assessments, all from their phone. This is a brand-new surface, and you'll be the person who takes it from 0-1.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced mobile focused PM. You get the blank canvas of a greenfield product with the built-in network and scale of a platform that already creates hundreds of thousands of jobs and pays out over $4 million a day. You'll shape the future of expert interaction with Mercor, and will own Mercor’s mobile strategy and validate the impact of marginal mobile users and usage.

What You’ll Do
  • Launch the mobile surface: Take Mercor's mobile app from concept to launch and beyond defining what it is, what it isn't, and what it becomes. This will start with the roadmap for how experts apply to jobs, track contracts, and submit assessments on mobile.

  • Own the full lifecycle: Drive the product end-to-end, from conception through launch and iteration, including release management, app store operations, mobile analytics and instrumentation, and post-launch growth.

  • Advance the frontier of AI: Mercor is organizing humanity's expertise into better AI models for every lab and enterprise. You'll build and own the products that make this possible.

  • Understand the Business: Work backwards from business outcomes to make product decisions that impact business health and growth.

  • Get in the weeds: Write specs and PRDs but also build dashboards and make small PRs to unblock yourself.

What We’re Looking For
  • Mobile launch experience: You've shipped and scaled mobile apps before. You know what it takes to build native experiences, manage app store releases and review cycles, and grow a mobile product from zero to meaningful adoption.

  • Proven 0-to-1 track record: You've built and launched at least one product from scratch, and you're energized by a greenfield mandate with no existing playbook.

  • Experience: 5+ years as a product manager, with significant time spent on mobile products.

  • High Ownership: You take full accountability for outcomes, not just outputs.

  • Independence: Able to self-direct in ambiguous contexts, creating clarity for others.

  • Technical Fluency: Comfortable building scrappy MVPs yourself when needed to validate direction, unblock engineering, or accelerate iteration.

  • Strategic Vision: Strong ability to connect user needs and business context to long-term product direction.

  • User Obsession and Understanding: Talks to users frequently, knows how to effectively conduct user research and customer interviews.

  • Balance of Metrics & Vision: Equally comfortable running rigorous experiments and pushing forward visionary bets.

Benefits

  • Bi-annual performance bonus structure

  • Generous equity grant vested over 4 years

  • Up to $15k Relocation bonus

  • $10K housing bonus (if you live within 0.5 miles of our office)

  • $1.5K monthly stipend for meals

  • Free Equinox membership

  • $200 monthly laundry reimbursement

  • $200 monthly personal wellness reimbursement

  • Health, Dental, Vision insurance

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
