Overview: As a member of the Product Management Team, understand market trends within our existing and target market customers, and be able to translate needs to business requirements, functional use cases, and solution descriptions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the overall market and assist the Product Managers in identifying areas of opportunity based on market research and customer needs. Become the subject matter expert (SME) on the product portfolio and play a key role in supporting sales opportunities product development.

What you will do: 

  • You will gather requirements for the existing and prospect customer base through various research tactics, such as customer interviews, conference attendance, analyst reports, and market regulatory information.
  • You will critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and decompose high-level information into details.
  • You will interact with customers and key stakeholders to develop a complete understanding of the business problems and trends in our target markets then translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • You will create and maintain requirements documentation, including, but not limited to, functional requirements, business requirements, and use cases.
  • You will share and incorporate feedback on the functional specifications from all stakeholders.
  • You will ensure proposed solution to new customer and market requirements are applicable to a broad audience to expand usage and provide new revenue opportunities.
  • You will perform ongoing business analysis and research on the relevant markets and industries.
  • You will collaborate with Product Marketing Managers on competitive analysis and market research activities.
  • You will participate in requirements gathering sessions to understand customer pain points and needs.
  • You will partner with Product Owners to elaborate on requirements and facilitate Agile Scrum requirements processes.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What we are looking for:

  • You have 4-year degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business or equivalent.
  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in place of the education requirement.
  • You have 5+ years in an enterprise software product management role.
  • You have experience in the Master Data Management (MDM) and/or Product Information Management (PIM) space.
  • You have experience in enterprise software technologies and implementation.
  • You have desire to be technology curious; keep up in reasonably technical conversations.
  • Travel is required: Yes – Approximately 10%
  • You have outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills with ability to present to large and small audiences.
  • Previous business analysis, product management experience in enterprise software.
  • Additional experience in the data quality, data governance, or data integration spaces.
  • Experience with SaaS software delivery.
