Position Description

Join the team that is transforming the fight against cancer. As part of a Fortune 10 company, our innovative organization develops technologies and educational programs to provide evidence-based, personalized care, and insights to accelerate drug development. We seek a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to help set and meet financial goals and other success metrics for Ontada’s suite of Market Research services offered to Life Science Companies, provide input into the development of a business plan, including identifying the customer needs and market dynamics, product positioning, pricing and product development roadmap, while  delivering high-quality services in line with customer needs and industry standards. This role involves providing subject matter expertise and consultative guidance to the sales team and customers, engaging, and collaborating with various stakeholders within Ontada and McKesson, and manage market research projects including logistical planning, responder recruitment, feedback summaries, and budget reconciliation

Key Responsibilities

Business Planning Support 

  • Actively participate into the market and competitive analyses, and the development and execution of the Ontada Learn Market Research Franchise strategy and plan with a focus on leveraging digital tools and data-driven insights to streamline quick decision making.
  • Create tactics for the Ontada Market Research offerings to Life Science companies continuously identifying opportunities to digitize and streamline delivery models for greater scalability and client impact.
  • Maintain and optimize the Market Research financial tracker, using automation and analytics to ensure real-time budget reconciliation, improved accuracy, and proactive financial management 
  • Oversee the advisor contracting and payment process, while evaluating and implementing digital solutions to reduce manual effort, improve compliance, and enhance the advisor experience.

End-to-End Project Oversight, Project Planning and Execution

  • Provide input and approve contractual agreements with Life Science customers, in collaboration with sales and sales operations while identifying opportunities to streamline and digitize contract workflows for faster turnaround and improved accuracy.
  • Manage research projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, timelines, and coordinating with the customer and other Ontada team members while continuously evaluating and implementing tools and methodologies to automate project tracking and enhance cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure recruitment of qualified responders in line with customer objectives and feasibility analysis leveraging digital platforms and data-driven targeting strategies to optimize recruitment speed, quality, and cost-efficiency.
  • Execute advisory boards, focus groups (in-person and virtual), surveys, and interviews with a focus on seamless planning and delivery, while integrating digital tools and automation to enhance participant engagement, streamline logistics, and improve data collection and reporting.

Commercial Enablement & GTM Planning

  • Support efforts in marketing, promotion, sales training, and internal alignment to drive adoption and growth of Market Research offerings
  • Support the promotional strategy by developing assets and tactics for any new features or offerings
  • Ensure consistent messaging in all MR promotional assets
  • Support sales training by creating engaging, scalable materials and ensuring effective use of sales enablement tools (e.g., HighSpot), while continuously improving content delivery through analytics, automation, and feedback loops.
  • Help gather and codify customer feedback and satisfaction using digital survey tools, automated feedback collection, and data visualization platforms to uncover insights and inform continuous improvement.

Customer Insights Support

  • Support the establishment of a Customer Insights Center of Excellence (COE) by gathering data on healthcare provider and life science customer behavior, preferences, and trends
  • Assist in the execution of an annual insights’ roadmap

Collaborate with the LSE team to design and implement an automated, scalable analytics suite that leverages advanced data visualization and machine learning to uncover actionable insights and emerging trends

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in quant & qual market research, analytics, and market research tools/software
  • B2B experience preferred, Experience in oncology or life sciences industry a plus
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Critical Requirements

  • Demonstrated product ownership mindset, with ability to develop strategies, manage product portfolio, measure and meet financial objectives and other success metrics
  • Hands-on, in-depth experience with understanding, designing, and conducting qualitative and quantitative primary and secondary market research
  • Proven track record of extracting and analyzing customer insights 
  • Ability to take key business questions and frame business problems into research plans
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate the data and learning into actionable recommendations for business growth
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and excellence in project management, including effectively managing multiple projects/priorities concurrently
  • Exceptional client management and presentation skills

Specialized Knowledge / Skills

  • Proficient in Qualtrics, Tableau, Power BI and Asana
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, willingness to explore bold new ideas, and flexibility to take on various roles as needed
  • Excellent cross-functional team, project, and organizational leadership skills
  • Experience with research in the context of clinical studies preferred

Education/Training

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Market Research, or a related field preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Remote work
  • Occasional travel (up to 25%)

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$96,100 - $160,100
