Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

Jump is looking for a Product Manager to integrate its AI platform with industry-leading insurance software (e.g., agency management systems) and to optimize the Jump experience for insurance professionals. As the first Insurance PM at Jump, you will define and drive the product roadmap for everything insurance, and work with a dedicated team of engineers to turn that roadmap into reality. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new solution area at Jump.

  • Define the insurance strategy and roadmap: Identify and prioritize opportunities to:

    1. integrate Jump with major insurance agency management platforms and other insurance tools, and

    2. make other product changes to improve the experience of our insurance professional customers.

  • Drive product development: Write clear product requirements for new integration features and insurance innovations. Work day-to-day with design and engineering to clarify specs, make trade-off decisions, and ensure timely, high-quality releases.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally and with partners: Work closely with engineers, designers, customer success, and sales to ensure Jump’s features for insurance professionals meet user needs. Coordinate with partner companies’ technical teams when necessary to troubleshoot or enhance integrations.

  • Understand our insurance users and iterate with them in mind: Obsess over our insurance customers. Gather feedback on Jump’s insurance functionality. Analyze usage data to assess what’s working and what can be improved. Iterate.

  • Drive adoption and impact: Develop go-to-market plans with Marketing, Customer Success, and CX for launching new integrations. Monitor utilization and drive awareness and usage. Your measure of success is that insurance professionals find our integrations and insurance-specific tools indispensable.

About You
  • Domain expertise: You have a background in insurance software, or significant experience working with insurance professionals (insurance advisors, brokers, carriers, or insurance operations teams). You understand the needs of relationship-driven insurance professionals and the pain points that technology can help solve.

  • Product management experience: You have 3–5+ years of experience in product management (or related SaaS roles), ideally including building integrations or data-driven features. You can take product ideas from concept to launch and iteration.

  • Technical acumen: You’re comfortable diving into APIs, data schemas, and technical documentation. You can effectively communicate with engineers about data mappings, webhooks, and API endpoints, even if you’re not writing the code yourself.

  • User-focused & analytical: You are passionate about solving user problems. You prioritize decisions based on user research and usage data, and you use that data to inform product improvements.

  • Collaborative communicator: You excel at cross-functional collaboration and can translate between engineers, non-technical stakeholders, and external partners.

  • Ownership mentality: You thrive in an early-stage, fast-paced environment and take full ownership of your product area.

  • Outcome-driven: You define success in terms of real adoption and value creation. You want to build things insurance professionals actually use.

What You’ve Done
  • Built software for insurance: You’ve worked on a product at an insurance software company or built integrations with insurance tools in a previous role. You have firsthand experience bringing insurance-related technology products to market.

  • Improved product adoption: You have driven usage of a product or feature through iteration and user focus.

  • Worked with external stakeholders: You’ve interacted with external software partners, vendors, or important customers in a product context.

  • Balanced multiple priorities: You’ve managed roadmaps with multiple initiatives, made trade-offs, and adjusted plans as new information emerged.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
