Role Overview – Why This Role Matters

Protegrity is redefining how enterprises protect sensitive data in the age of AI, and this role sits at the center of that mission. You’ll work closely with engineering, design, and customers to validate ideas early and bring them to market with rigor. It’s a role built on continuous learning, as security and AI standards evolve quickly, and you’ll help define what responsible GenAI product development looks like at Protegrity.

What You’ll Do
  • Define and deliver the roadmap for user-facing GenAI features, including conversational assistants, policy advisors, and agentic solutions, embedded across Protegrity’s cloud and on-prem products.

  • Partner with customers and design partners to validate new features and accelerate adoption.

  • Conduct market research, user research, and competitive analysis to guide product decisions.

  • Define and track success metrics tied to sales growth, retention, and user satisfaction.

  • Ensure every feature meets rigorous security and privacy standards, including GDPR, HIPAA, ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, and the OWASP Top 10 for LLMs and Agents.

What You’ll Need
  • 3–6 years of product management experience in enterprise software, AI/ML-enabled products, or security solutions; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Demonstrated ownership across the full product lifecycle, from ideation and PRDs/user stories through development, QA, launch, and iteration.

  • Strong familiarity with global security and compliance frameworks, such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, and OWASP.

  • Proven ability to deliver AI-driven user experiences in enterprise environments.

  • Documentation-driven and detail-oriented, with a track record of producing artifacts that align global, cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent collaboration skills, with experience partnering across engineering, UX, and customers.

  • High personal standards for quality, compliance, and security.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with customer pilots, design partner programs, or early-stage product validation.

  • Background working with customers in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or government.

  • Familiarity with emerging AI governance frameworks and standards bodies (e.g., NIST, ISO, OWASP working groups).

  • Experience presenting product strategy to executive or board-level stakeholders.

Should you accept this position, you will be required to consent to and successfully complete a background investigation. This may include, subject to local laws, verification of extended education, and additional criminal and civil checks.

We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits with generous vacation and holiday time off. All employees are also provided access to ongoing learning & development.

Ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace is our priority. We are committed to an environment of acceptance where you are free to bring your full self to work. All qualified applicants and current employees will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability or veteran status.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
