The Finance Product organization builds platforms that enable Netflix’s global Finance teams to plan, manage, and optimize financial performance across the business.

We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the development of enterprise-grade revenue and operating expense (OPEX) planning systems that power financial operations and decision making across Netflix. • Lead a team of stunning colleagues across design, engineering, and data science to deliver outstanding products to our customers.

  • Build business cases and measure the impact of your product innovation.

As the Product Manager on the Production Finance team, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining the product vision and strategy for our enterprise-grade financial systems that power how we plan, budget, track, and manage revenue and expense across our many lines of business.

  • Partnering with Finance, Content, and Business Product teams to break down complex finance and production workflows, leveraging a combination of purpose-built technology and best-in-class third-party solutions to deliver scalable, intuitive, and highly reliable internal platforms.

  • Developing and driving a roadmap that balances prioritizing the highest-impact opportunities for the business with cross-functional partner needs.

  • Leading cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and data science to discover and execute opportunities.

  • Clearly articulating product strategy, priorities, and tradeoffs across stakeholders and leadership to drive alignment and decision-making.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Product Management experience with a proven record of prioritizing and successfully launching products or platforms.

  • Experience building or implementing enterprise financial applications and a strong understanding of financial planning & analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, revenue and cost management, variance analysis, capex, cash flow planning,  financial hierarchies, and multi-currency workflows, general ledger (GL)

  • Comfortable partnering with engineers on APIs, system integrations, and complex data pipelines.

  • Prior experience working with OLAP planning systems (e.g., TM1/Planning Analytics, Anaplan, Pigment, Hyperion, Essbase, Adaptive, etc.)

  • Experience building internal products or B2B enterprise applications.

  • Experience with products that have directly used ML/AI technologies.

  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a cross-functional team: Your ability to build strong relationships is critical to success in this role.

  • Experience using data to inform priorities and evaluate the impact of initiatives.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - you will write a lot!

  • Has strong instincts for outstanding customer experience.

  • Embodying Netflix's values while also bringing a new perspective to improve our culture, we strongly believe that diverse experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds will lead to a better environment for our employees and better products for our customers.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
