Job Description
The Product Manager, Finance Technology is a senior role within the Global Technology organization, responsible for owning and driving product strategy, roadmap, and delivery for core fund and investment finance technology capabilities.
This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Technology, and Investments, with a strong focus on fund accounting, investment finance workflows, and financial data across the investment lifecycle. The Product Manager will act as the primary face of finance technology initiatives for assigned domains, partnering closely with senior Finance stakeholders, technology teams, and external service providers to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions.
The ideal candidate brings deep domain experience within asset management finance, strong product management discipline, and a working understanding of modern financial technology platforms. This individual will be comfortable translating complex finance concepts into clear product requirements, identifying opportunities for automation and reporting, and driving continuous improvement across finance operations.
Reports to: Head of Finance Technology
Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership
Own the product vision and roadmap for assigned Finance Technology domains, aligned with the broader Finance Technology strategy and business priorities.
Partner with Finance leadership to understand business objectives and operational requirements, translating them into actionable product initiatives.
Define clear product goals, success metrics, and prioritization frameworks to balance near-term delivery with long-term platform evolution.
Serve as the primary product owner for finance technology initiatives, ensuring clarity of scope, requirements, and outcomes.
Finance & Investment Domain Leadership
Act as a domain expert across fund and investment finance workflows, including NAV processes, capital activity, allocations, waterfalls, fee calculations, and financial reporting.
Demonstrate strong understanding of the investment lifecycle across alternative asset classes, including public and private credit, private equity, and similar strategies.
Support finance use cases involving fund models and waterfall structures, including carried interest, management fees, and complex distribution scenarios.
Contribute to the ongoing implementation and enhancement of Anaplan (or similar platforms) for fund waterfall modeling and financial analysis.
Work closely with teams supporting fund accounting platforms such as Geneva (or comparable systems), including interaction with third-party fund administrators.
Delivery Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Business Analysts, Engineers, and QA teams to translate finance requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlogs.
Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release coordination to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery.
Act as the primary liaison between Finance stakeholders and Technology delivery teams, ensuring alignment, transparency, and timely issue resolution.
Coordinate with external vendors, software providers, and fund administrators to support integration, data exchange, and operational workflows.
Ensure agile practices are applied consistently, driving transparency, predictable delivery, and continuous improvement across finance technology initiatives.
Data, Reporting & Automation Enablement
Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, data quality, reconciliation, and transparency across finance technology platforms.
Drive initiatives to automate manual finance workflows and reduce operational risk through improved system design and integration.
Partner with Finance and Technology leadership to assess emerging capabilities, including workflow automation, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions, where appropriate.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Serve as a visible and credible representative of Finance Technology initiatives to Finance leadership, including Controllers, CFO organizations, and investment finance teams.
Communicate product plans, progress, dependencies, and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Support governance forums, steering committees, and working sessions related to finance technology delivery and prioritization.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
Experience Required
8+ years of product management experience within the asset management industry (alternatives preferred) with a strong focus on fund accounting, investment finance, or finance technology.
Demonstrated experience in a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Business Analyst role supporting finance or investment technology platforms.
Strong understanding of fund accounting processes, fund structures, and the end-to-end investment lifecycle across alternative asset classes.
Hands-on experience with fund accounting platforms such as Geneva (or comparable systems) and experience working with large third-party fund administrators.
Working knowledge of fund waterfall models, allocations, carried interest, and fee calculations; experience with Anaplan or similar financial modeling platforms is strongly preferred.
Experience collaborating with engineering teams on system enhancements, integrations, and data-driven solutions.
Experience owning or contributing to API-based integrations, data models, and cross-system workflows within complex enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and finance systems integration, including ETL processes, data warehousing, and reporting platforms.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$150k - $200k
