About Venn
Venn builds Blue Border™, the secure workspace that lets companies protect data, applications, and AI workflows on unmanaged and BYOD laptops — without VDI, MDM, or issuing hardware. Trusted by 700+ companies, we're a remote-first team that operates with Trust, Humility, Vigor, and Empowerment at our core.

The Opportunity
This is a startup-within-a-startup. You'll be the first PM dedicated to Venn's developer market — building for developers as buyers, not just end users forced onto IT's tool. You'll own the outcome, not just the roadmap: Venn's proven tech and team are behind you, but the strategy, the metrics, and the GTM motion are yours to define.

What You'll Do

  • Own the product strategy for this market: who we're building for, what problems we solve, how we're differentiated
  • Lead market and customer discovery with developers, engineering leaders, and security teams to find real signal
  • Test hypotheses around buyers, pricing, and packaging — iterate fast
  • Build and drive the roadmap, translating customer insight into a prioritized backlog
  • Partner with sales and leadership to shape GTM: positioning, pricing, and the sales motion for a new buyer
  • Define what success looks like and track the signals that tell us the market bet is working

What You Bring

  • 4+ years in product management, with real 0-to-1 or early-market experience
  • Background at a developer-focused company where devs were the buyer, not just the user (Snyk, GitHub, GitLab, Docker, HashiCorp, or similar)
  • Hands-on developer background — comfortable in the terminal, in Git, across Windows/Mac/Linux
  • Genuine empathy for the developer persona — a commitment to low-friction, high-value tools, not tools built for whoever signs the check
  • Comfort being measured by adoption and business outcomes, not roadmap output
  • Experience with PLG motions, pricing, and packaging for technical buyers

Why You'll love Working Here
We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support our team’s health, well-being, and work-life balance, including:

  • Competitive compensation and commission opportunities
  • Equity at Venn
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance
  • Healthcare FSA, HSA, and commuter benefits
  • Unlimited paid time off, paid sick time, NYSE company holidays, and a paid birthday off

The opportunity to be part of a fast-growing startup with a collaborative, high-impact team where every voice is valued and there are clear paths for growth and promotion
We operate with Trust, Humility, Relationships, Innovation, Vigor, and Empowerment and we look for teammates who do the same!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
