THI is seeking a passionate and mission-driven Product Manager, DaaS (Data-as-a-Service) Platform. This role will oversee development of the cloud data lake platform, data pipelines and data analytics tools designed for ocular imaging data, ensuring it meets market demands and exceed customer expectations.

This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, product management skills, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to drive the product lifecycle from conception to launch and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Define platform vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company goals.
  • Champion a platform-first approach that supports multiple internal and external use cases, including SaMD development, analytics, research, and commercial insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, data, marketing, clinical science, and customer support, to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Gather and prioritize product requirements from stakeholders, customers, and end-users.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and downstream product teams to ensure the data platform meets evolving needs.
  • Develop detailed platform specifications and user stories for the development team.
  • Manage the platform backlog, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
  • Monitor platform performance and user feedback to inform future product iterations.
  • Support Marketing Data Product Management and Clinical Science efforts to maximize product adoption and revenue growth.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare, computer science). MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Product manager, with a strong background delivering successful Data as Service platform.
  •  Deep understanding of data ingestion pipelines, ability to parse, validate, and index highly variable imaging formats (e.g., fundus, OCT, OCT-A) and other diverse clinical datasets
  • Deep understanding of healthcare data management of imaging modalities (ophthalmic imaging is preferred), particularly where global standards (DICOM, FHIR) are incomplete or absent.
  • Knowledge of market research techniques, competitive analysis and product requirements definition.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, product lifecycle management and tools (e.g. Jira or similar), and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable strategies.
  • A passion for leveraging data to improve patient care and drive innovation.

Base Pay:

Expected Base Pay Range: $120,000 to $150,000 Annualized

The base pay range included is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed.  Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.   

Bonus eligible:

 In addition to base pay, compensation for this position includes eligibility for a 5% annual bonus.

*Topcon time off policies can vary between roles which are exempt or non-exempt.  For hourly (“non-exempt”) employees, we offer personal paid time off which accrues in accordance with local standards.  For salaried (“exempt”) employees, we offer a flexible paid time off policy giving you flexibility to take time when needed, while supporting business needs.  All paid time off policies are in accordance with or exceeding local law.  Employees working at least 30 hours per week are eligible for our Health and Welfare benefit package.
