Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

As we grow globally, we have increasing opportunities to communicate with and delight our members and prospective members in new ways. We believe Commerce growth is fueled by designing frictionless off-service journeys, refining acquisition and rejoin messaging across channels, and unlocking new opportunities in underperforming markets.

As the Product Manager, Commerce Growth, you will devise strategies to accelerate growth in underperforming markets, collaborating closely with marketing, Live, Games, and regional teams to identify and execute high-impact experiments tailored to local audiences. This includes optimizing remarketing and rejoin messaging series to drive conversion, while also leading the development and execution of innovative off-service acquisition and engagement strategies—shaping user journeys from external destinations such as Google, GenAI services, and other platforms.

As a Product Manager, you will be expected to design, strategize, execute, and prioritize projects. You should be comfortable at the hub of a fast-paced environment where you interface daily with cross-functional experts. You can build consensus and alignment but are not afraid to push ahead when there remain some critics and lead in the face of ambiguity.

This role can be based in our Los Gatos or Los Angeles office in a hybrid model. We are also open to remote West-Coast based candidates. Some travel will be required.

As a Product Manager at Netflix, you will:

  • Build a strategic off-service and commerce messaging roadmap, while taking product concepts from idea through validation, shipping, measurement, and iteration.

  • Lead a team of stunning colleagues across design, engineering, consumer insights, and data science to deliver outstanding products to our customers.

  • Build business cases and measure the impact of your product innovation, with your data science partners.

  • Author strategy memos and presentations and represent your team’s work to senior executives.

  • Deeply understand and socialize the evolving needs of our customers, with your consumer insights and design partners.

As the Product Manager, Commerce Growth, you will:

  • Set the product roadmap with a focus on enhancing off-service acquisition and engagement, particularly through external channels and messaging platforms.

  • Develop and optimize modular, scalable, and efficient off-service flows (e.g., from social platforms to in-app, email, push notifications, remarketing journeys) that connect users from destinations such as Google, GenAI services, social platforms and other third-party platforms.

  • Identify and prioritize underperforming markets for targeted acquisition efforts, developing persuasion levers and experiences to drive growth.

  • Leverage experimentation and A/B testing to optimize messaging effectiveness across different customer segments, channels, and regions in partnership with Algo PMs.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, Live, Games, regional, and partnerships teams to improve ROAS and maximize acquisition impact through landing page development.

  • Own key product decisions in your area, from roadmap definition to rollout strategy.

  • Drive initiatives through the entire product development lifecycle, including hypothesis development, design, consumer insights research, testing, productization, and iteration.

 Ideal Skills:

  • Passion for Growth, Monetization, Lifecycle Management, Product, LTV Maximization, and/or Behavioral Science!

  • Preferred experience includes working on product strategy and testing for commerce or growth initiatives, particularly for international markets (outside the US).

  • Experience leading large-scale messaging programs and have extensive experience in effective execution

  • 5+ years of product management experience with a proven record of prioritizing and successfully launching impactful products or platforms.

  • Experience with growth, acquisition, monetization, lifecycle optimization, plans, in a direct-to-consumer business, preferably with global scope where the consumer is paying for the service.

  • Understanding of Google search, SEO, social platform deep linking, and off-service user acquisition, with experience driving engagement from external platforms into owned channels.

  • Strategic thinking with a healthy blend of deep technical knowledge with customer-focused mindset and empathy.

  • Ability to inspire, motivate and lead a cross-functional team - your ability to build strong relationships is critical to success.

  • Insatiable curiosity to learn new domains, keep up with industry innovation, and constantly ask ‘why’

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - you will write and speak a lot!

  • Comfortable using data to inform priorities and evaluate impact of initiatives

  • Strong instincts for outstanding customer experience.

  • Embodient of the Netflix real values while also bringing a new perspective to improve our culture. We strongly believe that diversity of experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds will lead to a better environment for our employees and better products for our customers.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
