About the Team:

As part of StackAdapt’s Product team, you’ll craft solutions that empower our clients while tackling dynamic, engaging challenges each day.

As a Product Manager on the Billing team, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to design, build, and launch solutions that delight customers. You’ve shipped successful digital products and bring a strong bias toward data-informed decision-making to ensure we build the right solutions. Your role will help shape the future of our billing service infrastructure, supporting multiple billing models across customer segments and enabling new automation capabilities. Your work will drive sustained revenue growth, improve the efficiency of internal finance operations, and build trust across every client financial touchpoint. You’ll partner closely with Design, Engineering, Revenue, and Finance to define both the why and the how of our products, bringing clarity to technical ambiguity and guiding teams in building the financial backbone of the StackAdapt platform.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead end to end product development in close partnership with Product, Engineering, Design, and other Product Managers, from understanding user needs and market opportunities through defining technical solutions.
  • Conduct deep user research and market analysis, translating insights into clear and actionable product requirements.
  • Partner with Engineering and Finance to understand technical, resourcing, and legal constraints and identify solutions for new initiatives that support business growth.
  • Develop and maintain deep expertise in our billing architecture and supported billing models, leveraging industry best practices to inform buy, build, or partner decisions.
  • Define product strategy and roadmaps focused on evolving our billing infrastructure, billing models, and financial operations capabilities.
  • Ensure customers realize value from our products by monitoring satisfaction, measuring outcomes, and iterating as needs evolve.
  • Contribute to improving product discovery, validation, design, and delivery processes, continuously identifying opportunities to enhance team workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to drive effective product delivery and foster open communication and alignment.
  • Support customer facing teams by addressing product related questions and assisting with the triage of bugs and regressions.
What You'll Bring to the Table
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in a technology company, with a track record of shipping large, complex software products.
  • Strong experience working on Fintech, SaaS, and Enterprise software products.
  • A background in Computer Science or Engineering, enabling thoughtful discussion of technical tradeoffs and product decisions.
  • Working knowledge of API integrations, data modeling, and software architecture.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Strong empathy and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and diplomatic approach.
  • Data driven decision making skills, including experience using SQL and analytics tools such as Grafana, Pendo, or Mixpanel.
  • Deep understanding of Lean, Agile, and modern Product Management best practices, including design thinking, inclusive design, and usability principles.
  • Strong prioritization skills that ensure alignment across stakeholders, initiatives, and measurable KPIs.
  • A leadership style rooted in influence rather than formal authority.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
