Build the future of the AI Data Cloud. Join the Snowflake team.

Billing and Payments team enables our customers to use Snowflake in the cost model that makes most sense for their needs - whether a pre-committed contract or pay-as-you-go. In addition, it supports our Snowflake marketplace where third-party data providers can list and monetize their datasets, providing customers access to live and ready-to-query data sets.

To support the customizations and nuances needed for cloud scale billing requirements, Snowflake has built an in-house central data repository and billing infrastructure for customer resource consumption, revenue processing, invoicing, and reporting.

This role will help drive the product strategy, roadmap and execution of the billing platform. You will work closely with many product feature teams, IT, and Finance, aside from the billing PM and engineering team, to drive large scale change to how customers consume Snowflake.

AS A PRODUCT MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
  • Support the product strategy and roadmap for how to evolve our billing platform

  • Partner with engineering to define product specifications, design features, and deliver new functionality to customers

  • Define, set targets for, and track key performance metrics with data science team

  • Partner with IT and finance to define and deliver on key billing end-to-end scenarios

  • Partner across technical program management, IT, finance, legal, and support teams to ensure successful go-to-market for new product initiatives

  • Engage with external customers and internal partner teams to gather product requirements and feedback through discussions, presentations, and preview programs

OUR IDEAL PRODUCT MANAGER WILL HAVE:
  • 3+ years of product management experience, ideally with billing/payment platforms for cloud products/services

  • Passion and ability to decompose ambiguous problem areas, strong analytical skills, technical depth and customer-focused mindset

  • Track record of delivering high-impact features from vision to specification to launch and managing multiple simultaneous projects

  • Proven track record collaborating and driving alignment on cross organization/teams and cross-functional projects

  • An excellent communicator, with experience presenting to cross functional stakeholders

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Every Snowflake employee is expected to follow the company’s confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data. Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
