💻 Role

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution for Ads & Promos teams, which are essential growth tools for our sellers. You will play a critical role in guiding the next phase of growth for these suite of marketing tools that empower sellers to to grow on Whatnot and drive tangible business impact.

You will drive product development across all Ads & Promo tools, while also partnering with engineering, design & other partners to help improve user experience, seller ROAS and drive retention & adoption. Your work will help sellers make smarter investments, increase visibility, and drive conversion that ultimately grows their business. This is a unique opportunity to take the Ads business on the internet’s fastest growing marketplace from 1→100 and we’re looking for a Product Manager that’s passionate about shaping the foundations and future of this product area.

We’re remote-first, but this role requires being within commuting distance of one of our office hubs: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, or New York City. You will report to the VP of Product.

  • Design and lead the product roadmap and strategy for Ads & Promos tools, balancing short and long-term goals.

  • Engage regularly as a trusted advisor with leadership to understand their strategies, pain points, and priorities to inform product strategy, while providing transparency into roadmaps and managing expectations.

  • Roll up your sleeves to define product requirements & work with engineering, design and broader team to bring our roadmap to market at lightning speed.

  • Deeply understand and own the Ads & Promos ecosystem that include seller budgeting strategies, ROI/ROAS, attribution, pricing, auction dynamics, and best practices to inform product strategy and execution.

  • Drive development of core ad systems including ad ranking algorithms, bidding, targeting engines, pricing mechanisms, and impression supply forecasting.

  • Deliver actionable metrics & dashboards to help sellers adopt & optimize marketing spend across Ads & Promos.

  • Lead global expansion of Ads & Promos tools, with emphasis on adoption and ease-of-use.

👋 You
  • 8-10+ years of product management experience.

  • Experience working in the ads (e.g. native advertising) and/or promotions (e.g. Coupons, Incentives, etc) domain, especially in an ecommerce marketplace.

  • Experience leveraging AI and ML to build products that deliver outsized impact for users/marketers. You are comfortable designing for real-time systems like streaming data pipelines, event-driven triggers, and live experimentation environments.

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, identify trade-offs, and make decisions with limited information in high-pressure situations.

  • Proven ability to develop sound research methodologies and collect, synthesize, analyze, and interpret data.

  • Experienced in design, and hypothesis driven product development.

  • Deep empathy for users and a passion for delivering outstanding user experiences.

💰Compensation

For US-based applicants: $240,000/year to $320,000/year + benefits + equity.

The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below) or equity.

    • 16 weeks of paid parental leave + one month gradual return to work *company leave allowances run concurrently with country leave requirements which take precedence.
