Reejig is the Work Operating System for the AI powered enterprise.

We give companies a complete, validated view of their work by mapping every role, task, skill, and workflow. With this intelligence, we redesign how work should flow, surface where automation creates the highest leverage, and recommend the right AI agents for the enterprise.

Every change is measured and tied to real operational and workforce impact.

Inside Reejig, we build the same future we sell. We are developing our own AI powered workforce that supports our teams and our customers.

This is a place for builders who want to help define how work will operate in the AI era.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Product Engineer who wants unusually close ownership of the customer problem, the product decision and the code that ships.

Reejig helps large organisations redesign work for the AI era. In this role, you will work directly with customers, learn where the product can create more value, and turn those insights into software quickly. You will work across the stack and have meaningful influence over what gets built, not just how it gets implemented.

This is a role for a strong individual contributor who wants broad ownership, direct customer context and the freedom to shape solutions from problem through to production.

What You Will Do

  • Own product areas end to end, from understanding the customer problem through design, build, release and iteration
  • Join customer conversations and turn real-world feedback into thoughtful product improvements
  • Build across the stack, including modern front-end experiences, backend services, data and AI-powered features
  • Use AI coding tools as a core part of how you work, while keeping quality, testing and review standards high
  • Make practical product decisions about scope, trade-offs and what is worth shipping now versus later
  • Learn from how customers use what you build and use that feedback to improve it
  • Raise the bar for the engineers around you through code review, pairing and clear problem framing
  • Contribute to strong engineering practices and help improve how the team builds and ships product

What You Need To Be Effective

You will thrive here if you want to be close to the customer and close to the code. You are comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, shipping in small steps and learning quickly from what happens next.

What We Value

  • Strong product judgment and curiosity about the problem behind the request
  • Empathy for customers and a desire to understand how the product fits into their real work
  • Full-stack ownership and comfort moving across technical boundaries
  • Speed with judgment: small, reversible changes shipped often
  • Confident, thoughtful use of AI coding tools
  • Plain, direct communication with customers, founders and engineers
  • Leadership through clarity, standards and helping the people around you do better work
  • Comfort in an environment with meaningful autonomy and a fast pace

What Success Looks Like

  • Customers feel a short distance between their feedback and the product
  • The areas you own become more useful, reliable and intuitive over time
  • You are trusted to make good product and engineering trade-offs
  • Other engineers seek you out for review, context and advice
  • You have a meaningful impact on the quality and pace of product development
  • Strong alignment with The Reejig Code

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including meaningful end-to-end product ownership
  • Strong full-stack skills across a modern front-end framework, backend development and relational databases
  • A track record of helping shape what was built, not only implementing predefined requirements
  • Direct experience working with customers, users or customer-facing teams
  • Daily use of AI coding tools
  • Comfortable collaborating with a distributed team across time zones

Nice to have

  • Early-stage or scale-up experience
  • B2B enterprise SaaS experience, ideally in HR tech, workforce or people data
  • Experience mentoring engineers or acting as a technical lead
  • Experience building LLM-powered or AI-native product features

Why This Matters

We want to keep the connection between customers and the people building the product unusually close. This role is a chance to shape that experience directly, solve meaningful problems for major organisations, and have real influence over the product as Reejig grows.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
