The Impact of a Product Enablement Director at Coupa:
You own the strategy and execution for ensuring internal teams - solution advisory, value advisory, services and partners are product-ready, release-ready, and value-ready. This role translates product capabilities into clear, consumable enablement that drives adoption, confident product conversations, and consistent product usage. You will operate at the intersection of Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales, Presales, Customer Success, and Services, ensuring the entire organization understands what the product does, why it matters, and how to use it effectively.
What You'll Do:
- Define and own the Product Enablement strategy and roadmap. Establish clear ownership boundaries between Product Enablement, Product Marketing, and Sales Enablement
- Build scalable enablement frameworks for multi-product environments
- Own enablement for Presales roles (Solutions Consultants, Value Engineers, Architects)
- Enable teams to articulate business value, ROI, and outcomes
- Standardize demo, discovery, and solution storytelling framework
- Partner with internal teams for enablement for product releases and launches and work closely with Product Management to understand roadmap intent and customer impact
- Translate releases into role-based enablement for Sales, Presales, Customer Success, and Services
- Own the product enablement content ecosystem (training, guides, demos)
- Ensure content is current, modular, and easily discoverable
- Partner with Product Marketing on messaging consistency and positioning
- Establish structured feedback loops from field teams to Product and Surface enablement gaps, adoption blockers, and usability issues
- Influence product roadmap and documentation improvements
- Represent field readiness and adoption perspectives in product discussions
What You Will Bring to Coupa:
- 8+ years of experience in Product Enablement, Product Management, Customer Success, Presales, or related roles in software
- Proven experience building and scaling product enablement programs
- Strong understanding of procurement, finance, supply chain, or spend management processes
- Experience working closely with Product Management and Engineering teams
- Strong understanding of enterprise software sales cycles and presales motions
- Experience working closely with Sales and Presales leadership
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Prior experience in Product Management, Presales, Solutions Consulting, or Value Engineering
