As a Product Development Manager on the Supply Marketplace team, you will be responsible for defining product requirements for a suite of APIs that enable GBT’s hotel point of sale tools to effectively sell and service hotel reservations. This role is critical to GBT’s future growth and we’re looking for outstanding and seasoned candidates who like to have fun while getting the job done.

You will participate in defining the product strategy roadmap for your APIs. You will work closely with the development team as well as internal partners to develop innovative new features that improve GBT’s revenue and supply optimization.  

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal partners to resolve requirements for enhancements, and open Initiatives, Epics, and User Stories to be Groomed with the applicable scrum team.

  • Drive Grooming calls and ensure that user stories are understood by the scrum team and are ready for development  

  • Connect with internal partners on product strategy, project status, and upcoming projects

  • Build and maintain technical and operational product documentation in a timely manner.

  • Assist when needed with troubleshooting, technical and product support for your APIs

  • Contribute to defining the product roadmap in collaboration with business partners and internal Supply Marketplace teams.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in Travel Technology Product Management with a solid track record of successful product delivery

  • 3+ years of experience with GDS and nonGDS web services and GDS PNRs

  • Proven understanding of APIs (REST and Stateful)

  • Good understanding of the product development lifecycle, including experience with agile software development and prioritizing backlogs for engineers

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a sophisticated, diverse, global, and changing environment

  • Extensive experience creating effective technical and functional documentation and presentations for all audiences

  • Ability to understand both the big picture as well as the granular detail

  • Ability to navigate the organization, collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders and overcome project barriers

  • Proactively dig into complicated details until all facts are understood. Ability to articulate and document findings is a requirement.

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to find relevant documentation when needed.

  • Ability to work on multiple feature improvements, projects, and product maintenance simultaneously without allowing things to slip through the cracks.

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $110,000 to $220,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role.  Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
