Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Product Developer with 3+ years of experience in the apparel industry. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of product development from concept to production and excels at driving innovation, efficiency, and quality. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Design, Production, and Merchandising—to bring cutting-edge, high-quality products to market in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee product development from initial concept through final production, ensuring alignment with brand standards, target costs, and quality requirements.
Technical Expertise: Conduct fit sessions, review tech packs, and ensure all garments and accessories meet required specifications; troubleshoot and resolve construction or fit issues.
Sourcing & Vendor Management: Research and source fabrics, trims, and other materials; build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers to optimize quality, cost, and lead times.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Design, Production, and Merchandising teams to manage product calendars and development timelines; ensure milestone dates are met and that all stakeholders are informed of any changes or challenges.
Cost Negotiation & Budgeting: Work with vendors to negotiate costs, minimize expenses, and maintain margin targets; assist in setting and managing budgets for product development projects.
Quality Control: Implement and uphold rigorous quality control standards; collaborate with QA teams to address potential issues early in the development cycle and ensure product integrity.
Market & Trend Research: Stay current on industry trends, competitor analyses, and consumer insights to inform product innovations and improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in apparel product development or a closely related role
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, Merchandising, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, and apparel manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in PLM (Centric), and in standard office software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with experience managing relationships across multiple vendors and factories
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on continuous improvement

Work Location Statement:
Please note that this position is onsite at 5553 Bandini Blvd, Bell, CA 90201. We anticipate transitioning to our new corporate office located in Beverly Hills, CA (90210) in Q4 of 2025. Candidates should be prepared to work at the Bell location until the move is finalized.

At FAM Brands, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation. Salary ranges for positions are based on job level, location, and market data. We offer competitive benefits and are dedicated to equal pay for equal work. Specific salary offers depend on each candidate’s qualifications and experience. FAM Brands also offers all employees participation in our annual bonus program (Non-Sales) or commission program (Sales).
