Job Responsibilities
General Responsibilities:
- Execute the evaluation and establishment of project scope, value assessments, business requirements, and technical requirements.
- Create services proposals, RFP responses, competitive resourcing/pricing strategies, and develop statements of work.
- Partner with WWT account teams and sales organizations to qualify and close opportunities.
- Create and iterate on solutions across multiple Solution areas that leverage the best of WWT and meet our client's business objectives.
- Enhance and develop solution management processes with an emphasis on establishing and tracking success factors that maximize gross profit for the organization.
- Help formulate the overall solution strategies and roadmaps.
Proposals, Financial Modeling, and SOWs:
- Use data visualization skills, charts, and other data models to bring analysis to life.
- Develop cost estimates and financial models.
- Create compelling proposals that highlight Executive Summaries and overall solutions to deliver value to our clients.
- Create legal-ready statements of work including all required scope, terms, conditions, and financials.
- Work with WWT sales, delivery, legal and their client counterparts to complete redlines to make SOWs executable.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in systems architecture, systems engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field required.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a related field required. Related experience creating, defining, selling, or delivering large scale technology services engagements. Experience working in a large consulting firm setting preferred.
Other Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge in Networking (branch/campus routing and switching, wireless, data center) or Digital Workspace.
- Strong knowledge of technologies such as DC core/switching, SD-WAN, SD-Access, Wireless, WAN connectivity, cellular/satellite backup connectivity, IP telephony, POS systems, observability tools, automation tools, AI Ops tools, etc.
- Certifications in the technology field (Cisco, Juniper, CompTIA, etc.) preferred
- Ability to create proposals and present to senior client stakeholders.
- Ability to negotiate mutually agreeable outcomes with clients, WWT partners, and WWT stakeholders.
- Ability to work successfully in a complex matrix organization.
- Competency in analytical problem solving, customer/partner relationships, technology products, project management, and strategic insight.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English language.
Travel Requirements
Up to 25% of the time Domestic and International Travel.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Expert Level Proposal and Statement of Work Development: Proven experience creating high-quality senior executive level presentations leveraging Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint. Proven experience in creating, reviewing, and executing legal statements of work.
- Financial Acumen: High proficiency in financial modeling and business case development, including CAPEX/OPEX and ROI calculations specific to network and data center transformations.
- Commercial Models: Experience in structuring deals that incorporate consulting and managed services.
- Communication Skills: High proficiency in articulating complex network solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong Infrastructure Knowledge: Proficiency in technologies and terminology focused on complex networking solutions, data center technologies, or a related field in addition to management consulting experience.
- Multi-Domain Proficiency: Track record in creating and closing opportunities in complex, strategic, network areas such as multi-site/branch office deployments, managed network services, data center transformation, network lifecycle modernization, digital workspace transformation, and wireless modernization.
Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

A Brief Overview
As a Solution Services Consultant, you'll hold responsibility for partnering with WWT Solution Services team members and account teams on large, complex, and strategic services programs. You will help shape and close new business opportunities by leveraging competitive intelligence, business requirements, cost estimates, and solution options across business and technology services and industries.
You'll collaborate with teams in developing competitive and compelling proposals for our clients, designing and executing the competitive pricing strategy, and create statements of work while mitigating risks and articulating the value of the Solutions Practice offerings. You will help strategically plan and develop infrastructure services solutions in the network space including branch network refreshes/transformations on a global scale, complex DC networking refreshes/transformations, and day 2 managed services programs.
