Job Description

We’re hiring a Solution Architect – Data Analyst who sits inside the Product organization and acts as the technical bridge between Product, Engineering, and our go-to-market teams. You will design and maintain solution blueprints, out-of-the-box (OOB) solutions, and proof-of-concept (PoC) environments that let prospects experience Oscilar’s value before they buy.

A critical part of this role is curating and showcasing our latest product innovations—ensuring every blueprint, demo, and PoC reflects the newest capabilities of the Oscilar platform. By turning raw customer data and business goals into clear, compelling demonstrations, you’ll drive deals forward and feed field insights straight back into the roadmap.

What You’ll Do
  • Design & Evolve Solution Blueprints

    • Create reusable OOB templates—rules, workflows, dashboards, data mappings, and model features—for fraud, credit, onboarding, and AML use cases.

    • Continuously incorporate new product features and innovations into these blueprints so prospects always see the freshest capabilities.

    • Produce architecture diagrams and configuration guides that show prospects exactly how Oscilar plugs into their stack.

  • Own Pre-Sales Prototypes & PoCs

    • Lead technical discovery sessions and build lightweight PoCs on prospect data or synthetic datasets with pre-sales and product teams.

    • Tailor each PoC to highlight our core capabilities and any new or differentiating product functionality.

  • Data Exploration & Feature Engineering

    • Deep Data Analysis: Dive into raw, high-volume datasets (SQL, Python/Pandas, Snowflake/BigQuery) to surface risk signals and custom and OOB demo solutions

    • Generative Data Creation: Leverage GenAI and synthetic-data tools to augment or simulate difficult-to-obtain scenarios (e.g., long-tail fraud typologies, burst attacks) so that demos and PoCs feel realistic, safe, and instantly relatable.

    • Feature Engineering & Rule Prototyping: Transform exploratory findings into engineered features, graph attributes, velocity counters, and rule logic that highlight Oscilar’s AI strengths.

    • Story-Driven Insights: Craft compelling data narratives—dashboards, notebooks, or narrated walk-throughs—that translate statistical findings into clear business value for risk, compliance, and product executives.

    • Visual & Interactive Storytelling: Build interactive visualizations (e.g., network graphs, time-series heatmaps) that make complex risk patterns obvious during live demos. Ensure every storyline lands whether the audience is a data scientist or a CFO.

  • Maintain & Refresh Demo Environments

    • Curate sample datasets and “click-to-demo” environments so GTM teams can spin up compelling demos in minutes.

    • Act as the first adopter of every new release—adding, refining, and documenting fresh scenarios that spotlight product innovation.

  • Close the Feedback Loop

    • Capture recurring customer needs and publish solution patterns; channel insights back to Product and Engineering.

    • Influence the roadmap with data-driven recommendations gathered from the field.

  • Enablement & Documentation

    • Develop playbooks, how-to videos, and training to upskill sales engineers, partners, and new hires.

What You’ll Bring
  • Experience: 7-8+ years in solution architecture, data analytics, or pre-sales engineering for B2B SaaS—ideally in fintech, risk, data, or AI.

  • Technical Skills: Expert-level SQL and data wrangling; proficiency in Python (or R) for ad-hoc analysis and feature engineering.

  • Solution Expertise: Proven ability to create PoCs/pilots that convert prospects into customers and keep demo environments current with rapid product releases.

  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with fraud prevention, credit risk, or AML compliance is a strong plus.

  • Communication: Clear, confident communicator who can engage with cross functional Oscilar teams to drive execution on solution blueprints.

  • Mindset: Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is passionate about building solutions from the ground up.

Benefits
  • Compensation: Competitive salary and equity packages, including a 401k

  • Flexibility: Remote-first culture — work from anywhere

  • Health: 100% Employer covered comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance with a top tier plan for you and your dependents (US and Canada)

  • Balance: Unlimited PTO policy

  • Technical: AI First company; both Co-Founders are engineers at heart; and over 50% of the company is Engineering and Product

  • Culture: Family-Friendly environment; Regular team events and offsites

  • Development: Unparalleled learning and professional development opportunities

  • Gear: Home office setup assistance

  • Impact: Making the internet safer by protecting online transactions

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
