The Opportunity
Our Content team is growing and we're looking for a Producer to join us in our mission to help people get their best sleep. This person will primarily support one of our flagship bedtime podcasts and will work closely with our internal production team to shape episodes from pitch to publish. If you love sleep, storytelling, and have a knack for cozy conversation, this might be the gig for you.
The ideal candidate is experienced in chat and comedy podcast formats, thrives in collaborative environments, and is highly organized. This role will report to the Manager, Audio Production. This person must be based in the United States or Canada. Hatch is based out of California, so this role would be asked to be available during PST/PDT hours.
What You’ll Do
- Produce, record, and edit episodes in collaboration with Hatch’s production team
- Book and coordinate with talent and remote studios as needed
- Research topics, fact-check content, and write or revise scripts
- Transcribe raw audio and assemble dialogue edits
- Apply editorial feedback, coordinate pickups, and oversee final mix in collaboration with a sound designer
- Quality check (QC) final audio on app and device
- Keep all episode tracking and scheduling updated in Airtable
- Draft scripts in Descript or Google Docs
- Use AI tools to support brainstorming and writing workflows
- Create final transcripts when applicable
- Support episode publishing tasks as needed
- Maintain professional relationships with talent and reps, ensuring clear communication, expectations, and deadlines
- Troubleshoot issues related to content feedback, payments, or contract updates
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience producing chat-style or conversational podcasts
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
- Familiarity with Hatch products and tone is a plus
- Experience with Descript, Airtable, Google Docs, and AI writing tools
- Enthusiasm for sleep, wellbeing, and creating cozy audio experiences
