The Producer, Kids will work directly with talent to lead the creative development and production of recurring PragerU Kids videos for parents/educators, including livestreams, pre-recorded guest interviews and social media content. This role oversees both the creative direction and logistical execution of family-friendly videos published multiple times per week across PragerU platforms. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience producing and launching digital series focused on education, parenting, culture, and social issues. They should be deeply familiar with newsworthy trends in family-oriented video content and social media storytelling, with the ability to apply best practices that informs parents and educators, to grow engagement and strengthen the PragerU Kids brand across platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce and publish engaging weekly episodes with the PragerU Kids team
  • Research timely topics and develop story ideas that align with PragerU’s mission and audience interests
  • Oversee production from filming and post-production to publishing and scheduling to keep everything running smoothly
  • Coordinate with Design team, Social team and Creative team to create and distribute graphics packages, social media edits, and any other material needed to support a series
  • Communicate updates to the Creative and Production teams and flag any scheduling, resource, or cross-departmental challenges
  • Review and provide feedback on episode content, live segments, and short-form edits to ensure consistency and quality
  • Manage editing timelines, approve final cuts, and repurpose content into shorts and clips
  • Support and coordinate social media promotion across YouTube and other platforms to maximize reach and engagement
  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external requests including campaign promotions, press, shoots, and donor initiatives, and assist with larger campaigns when needed
  • Track performance numbers for each episode/channel (views, engagement/clicks) for reporting purposes
  • Write longform scripts and talking points for on-air talent

Successful Candidates Will Possess:

  • 2-4 years of production experience, ideally in a newsroom atmosphere, including live and studio-style shoots (pre-prod, day-of, and post-production)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, news cycle headline environment and keeping productions organized and on schedule
  • Know-how for working effectively with talent – brainstorming topics, researching & outlining talking points, general talent support pre-, during and post-production
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle and communicate needs and deadlines clearly across teams
  • Sincere enthusiasm for parenting/education news beat, with an ability to keep up with latest national developments & news about these topics
  • Proactive, reliable, problem-solver and calm under pressure
  • Solid creative instincts and discerning editorial judgment for selecting headlines, clips and soundbites that will resonate with parent/educator audience 
  • Curious and motivated to pitch new ideas, segments, and guest opportunities, especially for kids and family-focused content
  • Familiarity with video and podcast production workflows, including camera, lighting, branding (lower thirds, etc), audio, and basic editing
  • Genuine enthusiasm for storytelling, education, U.S. history, and cultural topics that align with PragerU’s mission
  • Has an eye for crafting story, and for turning footage into narrative episodes within the guidelines of a show format or brand.
  • Able to work with strong personalities. 
  • Bonus if you are capable of filming & editing videos and projects under very tight deadlines and short turnaround times.

Salary Range: The salary target for this role is $70,000 - $85,000+. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package.
