In this role, you are the single point of contact for local leaders in a specific geographic or plant location. You manage the interactions between business stakeholders and sourcing teams and collaborate across the manufacturing, supply chain and the commercial business. You also manage the local implementation of regional and/or global projects.
How you will contribute
You will execute the daily procurement agenda by acting as the single point of contact for the procurement function at a site, in a country or country cluster, and will oversee the daily interaction with plants, supply chain, commercial teams, quality assurance, sourcing teams and suppliers. You will also deliver service-level targets by ensuring material availability, escalating when needed, and support business continuity planning implementation, activating when needed, support the execution of sourcing projects and execute sourcing/spot-buying or contracting activities as agreed with the accountable spend areas, and own the source-to-pay process compliance key indicators and take corrective action when necessary.

In this role, you are the single point of contact for all packaging material suppliers locally and across the region to ensure continued supply to Egypt all 3 MDLZ plans. You manage the interactions between business stakeholders and sourcing teams and collaborate across the manufacturing, supply chain and the commercial business. You also manage the local implementation of regional and/or global projects.
Execute the daily procurement agenda by acting as the single point of contact for the packaging procurement function for Egypt, and will oversee the daily interaction with plants, supply chain, commercial teams, quality assurance, sourcing teams and suppliers.
Deliver service-level targets by ensuring material availability, escalating when needed, and support business continuity planning implementation, activating when needed, support the execution of sourcing projects and execute sourcing/spot-buying or contracting activities as agreed with the accountable spend areas, and own the source-to-pay process compliance key indicators and take corrective action when necessary.
key accountabilities will entail the following
  • Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the Procurement function at the country cluster. Be the face of packaging Procurement Project Management in-country leadership/ISC and other stakeholders.
  • Regularly assess supplier performance metrics, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules.
  • Manage and optimize the supplier lead-times by deeply understanding processes proactively during improvements to reach JIT Module.
  • Support sourcing team in developing robust category strategies, including supplier diversification to mitigate risk and strengthen supply security.
  • Build strong collaboration with the planners across Egypt factories to prevent out of stock situations and ensure seamless material availability.
  • Identify and implement cost effective solutions for new materials and promotions, including localization opportunities and material substitutions without compromising quality.
  • Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive portfolio of supplier price offers to ensure transparency, benchmarking and informed decision making.
  • Ensure contractual allocation made by sourcing manager.
  • Provide Commercial leadership to help resolve supplier issue and non0 conformance when site are unable to.
  • Ensure that continuous improvement plans are in place and followed through with major suppliers..
  • Ensure compliance of the Procurement procedures and Policies.
  • Work closely with various departments to ensure the fulfillment of all required services and material within the scope of Direct Material.
  • Assist in New Product Development projects implementation.
  • Act as first escalation point of projects implementation and drive resolution in line with regional and global Procurement Team.
  • Coordinate and participate in the execution of the projects implementation plan: Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; Provide insights on local supplier market; Support local supplier qualification assessment.
  • He/she will be responsible for EG and NPDs/ PPs from PKG perspectives
