How you will make an impact

The Procurement Sourcing Specialist III is responsible for all functions needed to ensure the lowest cost of purchased materials, drives continuous improvement with assigned suppliers, and supports the business’s success in providing a dependable supply chain of materials and services. The Buyer is responsible and accountable for the Supplier’s performance in meeting the Site’s demands. Will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and vendors to identify and realize improvements in quality, delivery, and price. Provide input to management regarding problems such as shortages, design changes, and backlogs. Helping develop and improve materials management procedures and continuously developing an improved supplier base. Strong analytical, interpersonal, skills are vital.

Location: full-time onsite in West Hills, CA

Day in the life!

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for understanding and implementing relevant company and department policies and procedures.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced.
  • Complete other tasks as needed or advised by Management.
  • All required SOP’s and quality records must be updated to reflect current work.
  • Placing PO’s and planning material requirements to support inventory, production, and customer requirements while supporting cost saving goals.
  • Communicating Past Due PO’s, rescheduling requests, and expediting deliveries with our supplier.
  • Maintain Procurement Master Data in respective ERP system (SAP)- Lead Time, Pricing, MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity), Safety Stock, Obsolescence, Etc.
  • Handles materials supply and inventory levels to meet manufacturing goals, review KPI report and work closely with suppliers and internal teams to update required data and communicate changes, and has strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts and get results.
  • Motivated and driven to work effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to run and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to negotiate and generate cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct collaborative meetings with key suppliers to discuss metrics and forecasts.
  • Manage and lead Supplier Management (Scorecard Review and QBR).
  • Address supply disruptions as advanced by Materials Planning.
  • Support NPI activities in collaboration with R&D, Ops and Planning to ensure successful supplier.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting planning reports and projects.
  • Be able to identify goals, review and update Supervisor throughout the year and complete the PMD.
  • Attend daily management stand-up meetings and provide regular and timely status updates on procurement issues to management.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ISO/FDA, GMP, ISO Regulations, and other regulatory requirements for diagnostics manufacturing.
  • Establish and optimize everyday work and standard processes to ensure material availability to support rapidly growing business.

How will you get here?

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of equivalent experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Experience in handling complex purchasing activities and supplier relationships.
  • Attention to detail, and excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge in ERP Systems (SAP), Microsoft Excel, etc.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate, site, and regulatory policies, practices, and guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • C.P.M., APICS, CPIM certification preferred.
  • Six Sigma Certification is a plus.
  • Project management skill

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Regular office and manufacturing environment.
  • Frequent communication and walking to other areas where designated PPE will be required.
  • Sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $75,000.00–$112,500.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
