Our Supply Chain organization manages all aspects of procurement for the entire corporation. Work Model
This is a full-time position based in El Segundo, CA.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of purchasing agents, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet service level agreements and performance metrics.
- Manage sourcing activities for all indirect commodities, including goods and services, while executing and overseeing the timely award of contracts and purchase orders for indirect spend.
- Track and report procurement savings and ensure compliance with established policies.
- Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with leadership throughout the corporation.
- Assist in vendor negotiations to help secure favorable price, delivery, and terms.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders promptly.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for audit purposes.
What You Need to be Successful - Procurement Manager
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related function.
- A minimum of 3-5 years in a management role.
- Experience in procurement planning, strategic sourcing, and executing procurement plans.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating procurement data and vendor performance, with experience in presenting data analysis summaries to various audiences, including senior management.
- Experience in interviewing, selecting, developing, and training new team members.
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
- Familiarity with SAP / ARIBA (source to pay) systems.
- Experience in the aerospace industry supporting indirect commodities.
